  • I can not understand even a small portion of that.
Torinn Chiragh, Herald of Fire says, "Good, darn it."
Talamond Averial says, "You are the least charming siren ever."
  • My native language is English and I can't understand this one:
    C'n an'on' 'nk m'no'er Boa' 'a'too, 'leas'?"
    Can anyone something please?

Can anyone ink me another boar tattoo, please?

I tried to read that out loud. It sounded like I either ate a lot of marbles or was giving a serious blowjob. Quite possibly both at the same time.

    Looks like it's scriptable...

    Nah, it's (somewhat) random.

Consistent in replacing ending E's and T's with an apostrophe, but not consistent in replacing opening T's.

She even fucks up her own accent when:

(Targossas): Raeallyn says, "We', y'just' ne' t'lis'n!"

... because the apostrophe after "just" doesn't replace any letters, though she probably meant to remove the T.
  • Still, its is very difficult to keep such a complex accent in place.

That said: Achaea is intentionally designed to allow you to customize the accent you use through the mechanics and thus not make it difficult to read. *shrug*

Man, I'm late to it, but I saw @Sarapis mentioned contractions. I used to piss off people on purpose by committing atrocious grammar-crimes on public channels (can't've, wouldn't've, etc.), and I'm kinda super glad you never caught me >_>

ETA: I do feel bad, if it helps.
  • I'll take "can't've" and "wouldn't've" over "can't of" and "wouldn't of" any day.

As long as you feel sufficiently chastened now!

    Y wooden T?

Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."

Your bug report (detail: in HELP 24.2 In one line it refers to "1 percent chance" and another a "2% percent chance". The style should be kept consistent and saying 2% percent is redundant.) - has been fixed.
  • Nothing, I am not a grammar or spelling nazi, I really love sometimes phonetically pronouncing things incorrectly just for the fun of it (definitely, intensive purposes are good examples).

iunno, guess I just don't care enough
  • But per cent is two words. :bawling:

People want us to stop using homophones? I'm a frayed knot.

  • Gonna
    Wanna
Replacin' the gs at the end of words with apostrophes.

This is as far as I go.

Roullier has balanced his accent out really well. It's mostly phonetical and nearly always makes sense.

  • I particularly like it because I feel it conveys my tendency towards being a grammar nazi in a language that is close to my heart.

When someone asks me how I'm doing and I reply with "I'm amazing" or " I'm great" ... Knowing full well what I'm saying... Everyone always thinks I have a positive attitude. I'm really saying I am great. I am amazing. ...when I'm feeling ok and I reply with "I am well" and people act like I'm a snooty bitch for saying "well"

    * "Alright" is acceptable informally, though "all right" is preferred.

** Some dictionaries now allow "discernable" as an _alternate_ spelling,
doubtless to accommodate the legions of those unable to spell it
properly. We reject this line of thinking!

or way of life, or many other things we will not list here.

+ Vile is a proper word meaning morally reprehensible. Vial is a small
        container for liquids.

++ We do not generally list regional variations in UK vs US spellings
here. For skeptical (US) and sceptical (UK) we make an exception.
