Late last year, my best friend and I celebrated both our birthdays in Japan. We went to Osaka, Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, and stayed in an onsen at Mount Fuji for the big day. It was a couple of the best weeks of my life.
Highlights!
Reaching down with a massive hand, Sartan lifts your head and draws a taloned finger across your throat, the wound closing as He does so.
kinkaku-ji so distinctive (watch it actually be something else as i say this)! want to visit certain buddhist temples in/around kyoto, especially enryaku-ji
And as he slept he dreamed a dream, and this was his dream.
Currently Im saving to go myself but it will take a bit to collect money for a nice, respectable trip. Maybe 4.5k for two weeks, for what I want to do. It all looks too beautiful!
@Ellodin, Kinkaku-ji is so golden! There are shinier pictures where the sun is hitting all that gold and reflecting off the water, but I didn't want to blind you. Fushimi Inari Taisha has too many steps. I liked the fox spirits.
@Xias, we found it surprisingly affordable. We had already decided not to worry about money and still ended up spending less than we estimated. $3,000 for two weeks let us do almost everything we wanted, including Fuji-Q Highland and arcades and local markets and getting hammered at Golden Gai many, many nights.

I have a story to tell about what I've been up to since the last time I played Achaea. Let me jump right in...

I was on my way to Hogwarts when @Jurixe kidnapped me from the Hogwarts Express and tried to take me to Beauxbatons! This picture was taken before I managed to escape (see: this picture, previously posted in this thread by the aforementioned kidnapper).

I began to make my way back, but I ran into trouble when I tried to use my Parseltongue.

But luck was on my side, and I made it to safe haven. I now live with my cousins, who I've introduced to Achaea. They should fit in well with the community.

Annual March Trip down to Arizona this year. Super warm, felt nice to get out of the cold. Sorry @Chiam, you left me to go skiing so I had to soak up some sun. Maybe we'll use those earrings soon!
Currently hiding away at a remote lighthouse. Obviously I still have wifi and Achaea what am I an animal?? Anyway here's some pictures of the place from a nearby cliff and a freshly birthed seal pup (I'll skip the mid-birth pics for you squeamish folks)
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Thanks to those who msg/mail/texted/smoke signaled me, fear not! Zulah is just on a little 88 day vacation. He'll be back after some much needed sun. Until then it's pina coladas and hammocks!
I’m still alive, you guys. Still in the hospital. No hair, no worries. Here’s what I looked like the last time this happened, but without the facial rash I currently have.
I wasn't around for the Great Hunt this weekend because I had to be in a photo shoot for the new all-female movie, Ocean's 14. Here's a sneak peek at the unedited poster.
And here's a behind-the-scenes still.
(Sorry for gigantic pictures, I really don't have a clue how to make them smaller)

Spent the past 3 weeks roaming all over Taiwan + Japan with my cousin from Vancouver. Was awkward sharing rooms with her but visiting the Far East for the first time was a huge eye opener. Just a snapshot of few places out of the many we visited
@Exelethril we used to shoot artillery at that Always thought it was weird that the govt of Japan wouldn't let us shoot on Okinawa, but would let us shoot Howitzers at the universal symbol of Japan. Did you get to go to Okinawa at all? Always liked it better than mainland. What village is that?
@Caelan - Wait, what universal symbol of Japan? The old village was Shirakawago, it had a very rustic/historical vibe. Did not get to see Okinawa/Osaka and a few other places, unfortunately How long were you stationed there and why didn't you make half-asian babies during that time frame
Our route in Japan was Tokyo (ginza, red light district etc) -> Hakone (mt Fuji, lake ashi cruise, mt komagatake ropeway) -> bullet train to Nagoya -> normal train to Takayama (old town famous for Hide beef) -> Shirakawago (old village) -> Kanazawa (kanazawa castle, kenrokuen garden) -> Kyoto (kinkakuji, ryoan-ji garden, fushimi inari shrine) , missed out a few things here and there but that's what I recall off the top of my head.

Awful camera but oh well. My hair is considerably longer than the last time I posted a pic LOL. Also @Kiet this was post cinnamon pound cake munching
Carmain, Seftin, and Hermes hanging out in the good old retirement home.
