Probably one of the last tummy bump pictures I'll take - approx. one month to go!
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."
I saw the picture before I read the text and about had a heart attack! He looks like a great dog. They are really like the perfect dog, not too big or small, friendly, energetic, and intelligent. Love um while you have um!
Huh. I think my neighbor doesn't know the breed of her dog. It looks exactly like what @Hirst posted, but she always called it a Border Collie. Google images for Border Collie also doesn't show anything remotely close to it.
Lassie was a Rough Scottish Collie, which looks extremely similar to a Shetland, only larger. I want one, although I want another Black Lab more. RIP Cinder
@Alyssea, they are all in the Collie family, perhaps she has an Australian Border Collie, they can look a bit like Shelties in size and coat but their colors are different.
I had a Border Collie/Black Lab mix named Pepper. I was devastated when we had to put her down a couple of years ago. I still can't see a border collie without tearing up a little.
Picture taken from the last batch of mutts that my mom's dog produced. They were Mastiff/Shar-pei and Rottweiler. They were also very bitey. There were ten of them, altogether, and I wanted to keep them all!
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!
@Pieridae, no, unfortunately! My house and yard are smaller than my mom's, and those dogs were going to grow up to be massive. Plus, I already have a dog - a smaller Lab mix - who is such an attention whore that I doubt she'd take well to a second dog. She's possessive of her people. My friend managed to snatch one up for his daughter, though, so I still get to see them, and my mom kept one, too.

@Dunn, though. I didn't even see that he'd posted.

Ezekiel, Zeke for short. Man's best friend right there.
1. Calling my dog a girl
2. Mistaking my dog (Shetland Sheepdog) for Lassie's breed (Border Collie)
The second one in particular is the most grievous for us Sheltie owners

"Slowly disappear. Never really here."
Our baby Evelyn's first Halloween - We had a full owl costume but she threw a fit so we were only able to bring the hat.
The only other semi-costume we got was this black cat one. I like to call it her Pat Benetar look.
