I love white ink, it's subtle and can be pretty creative in possibilities:

The only issue I was told about white ink is, it fades quickly if you expose it to constant sunlight.
I think that's probably why some artists around here also make a subtle outline (depending on the design) in a different shade to cater for that fading. Re-inking is painful and not really good for you, from what I've heard.
