And if you get a bunch of them, you can fashion an indestructible suit of armour.

    My city in hyperlapse:

Vimeo link because it's hating me big time.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning,
Losing their light in the glorious sun,
Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling,
Only remembered for what we have done."

Sure the Nokia 5110 didn't have fancy things like internet but you could use it for days without charging and it also doubled up as a baseball bat.

Remember when you could change the faceplate?  It really took a lot of effort to find that color that really expressed who I was.
I had the arial on mine replaced with one that flashed when it rang!
Hiroma tells you, "I just got to listen to someone complain about your deadly axekick being the bane of their existence."
Archdragon Mizik Corten, Herald of Ruin says, "Man, that was a big axk."
Hellrazor Cain de Soulis, Sartan's Hammer says, "Your [sic] a beast."
  • Today's smartphones:

    -drop phone on floor-

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! END OF THE WORLD!

    Nokia phones years ago:

    -drop phone on floor-

    -pick up phone-

What was that, dad? Oh, sorry about the noise, I dropped the phone by accident. Gimme a sec while I clean out the dust...okay. What were we talking about again? Oh yeah, that new iPhone on the market...

  • Man, Nokia phones.

They're frigging immortal. I must have dropped my 5110 tens of times over significant heights. Thing never breaks.

Whether you're a foodie, a history nerd, or have your chef's license IC and are looking for period-appropriate inspiration, this blog has kept me entertained (or would it be edutained?) for the past hour or so.
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!

@Amunet: I shed manly tears at the Guinness article. Especially at the story where the company made good on its promise of a pint for every British soldier, despite being undermanned.

HURRY, THE ASSASSIN WENT AROUND THAT CORNER! MOVE, MOVE MO...oh! Sorry, maid-girls. We were looking for a vicious white-cloaked assassin and we saw him pass this way. By any chance, did you see him? No? Oh well, on your way then.

Boss? That chick in the middle is hot. Should I get her number?

  • That is accurate. It also helps to have just the right amount of sleep deprivation.

Where i work we have a the 2am check. It's only considered worthy if you can understand what it does at 2am.
