Been sick for a couple of days and didn't have my laptop. @Aerek‌ was kind enough to bring it to me and some hot soup. Bros for life man.
I hope you feel better soon!
What doesn't kill you gives you exp.

  • Got home from work tonight and enjoyed the most delicious, steaming bowl of chili ever. About halfway through said bowl, my glasses slip from my face straight into my delightful chili. :(
Mishgul wanted Jesus to fix my banner. Neither of us could get it right :(

I'll be getting a DSLR camera soon, which I'm excited about getting into photography. Brace yourselves, noobish photos of wildlife and randomness are coming.

  • Switzerland wins the Davis Cup, clinched by Federer!
And as he slept he dreamed a dream, and this was his dream.

I stood next to him in queue for passport control in Zurich, I wanted to ask for a photo so bad, but I figured thatd be rude.
  • A whole slew of great new podcasts I've been listening to.

It's great to have jobs like this where the environment isn't uptight and unnecessarily strict. Enjoy!

@Melodie, great thing about those is you can sync your contacts to a gmail account instead of just your SD card. That way, if you lose/damage your phone beyond use, you still have all your contacts.

There's also an awesome app that was developed since AirG was/is so buggy and basically useless, called AirDroid. Let's you connect to your phone wirelessly to transfer pictures, music, videos, review conversations, transfer files, etc without needing to connect via usb.

I gave my Galaxy to my father and am getting the AQUOS Crystal to try it out:

Thankfully gmail is what I use anyway, so that should be easy peasy!

I admit I am somewhat terrified of the learning curve ahead to figure out what all these phones do. I feel utterly dumb in the face of how much technology has grown since I turned 16 or so. It's a scary world. It should be fun though!

Thanks for the tips, will definitely keep in mind. I've got 280182018 things to learn no doubt.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby

They're not difficult to learn, but be prepared to spend like three hours just playing around with it and setting it up the way you want when you first unbox it (not because they're tedious to set up, but part of the fun of a smartphone is discovering what it can do and the level(s) of customisation available). I don't think I've ever filled up the five available screens worth of app and widget space on my smartphone, but it has plenty of room if you do end up using a lot of apps regularly and want to access them quickly.

Main thing I always used mine for was keeping up with work stuff on the go, emails, files, and navigation. Plus, texting is better because you don't have to smash the same key three times to get one letter. Using the digital keyboard might take some getting used to (I remember I could send a text from my pocket on my old Nokia), but then you can get introduced to Swype which I've always liked due to how quickly it lets you reply to messages and type stuff out. Will take some practice and a little calibration to get it fine tuned, but basically instead of pressing a key for a letter you just tap a letter then slide your thumb/finger across the screen to spell the word out as you go.

Why would you want to work from your bedroom? The living room or dining room seems much better.
  • Rant:

I spent 8 hours last night in a cooler. With frostbite on my hand. When I got off work, I couldn't feel my hands... and still had to drive to pick my mom up from work and then head home.

    Rave:

Totally applying to work the cooler from now on because 1, I get left alone, and 2, more money! Pretty sure I will get it too since the both my managers want me back there now :)

    Short answer? My roommate(s).

Long answer? One of my roommates is a psycho who has literally scared me bad enough I've locked myself in my room, surrounded myself with the surplus of point objects I have (and a hatchet), curled up in a corner behind my bed, and waited for a couple of hours because I was worried he would break into my room at any moment and possibly kill me. And it's his house I live in.

Yeah, moving across the country and finding a place to live via craigslist has it's downsides...

  • @Amarillys just put him into one of @Deucalion's shrines. Pretty sure the fires from the pyre will make him crispy.

I wonder if they have Achaea in prison...

I don't think so. Unless you can somehow get a guard to get you a computer with Mudlet.

(So mis-read your post as 'I wonder if they have prison in Achaea.')
  • Warzone 2100 for Linux. Just wonderful :)
