    Same strategy as the dragon. [spoiler]Use an invulnerability potion just as you reach him, teleport away when it wears off, and stay away (teleport again or use a seed) until you're able to use another invulnerability potion.[/spoiler]
    Alternatively, 4000 health and a level 20 sword of flames should be enough to just overpower him without any strategy.

    Also, at the insistence of @Daklore, I obtained Total Annihilation. It's an amazing game! Thank you for letting me know of it.

    Help because you don't want to spend the money, or because you don't want to get sucked into it? If the former, it's only $10 at gog. http://www.gog.com/gamecard/baldurs_gate_the_original_saga

    It was not about the money, but about being dragged in. I got it in the end.

    I never really played it fully as far as I remember. I helped another friend of mine into beating the game back in those days as he could not win some combat situations, and I played AD&D 2nd ed. quite extensively. So basically, I remember seizing his house for 3 days, but it is weird because I cannot remember the story of the game.

    By the way, BG is a beautiful game, totally worth each penny. This enhanced version allows multiplayer, so it is kind of fun. Still I have no time to do any gaming, but who will tell it to my friendly game carnifex? He just completed ALL the achievements of FTL on easy mode, which I think is something, but now he is hungry.

    You want a forward slash for the closing spoiler tag, not a backslash. Also, when you say you're done, do you mean you beat it on hard mode, too?
