    Damn this is relaxing stuff.

I've been listening to a lot of Colter Wall lately...

  • Not my usual genre, but won't deny how good it is.

  • "Won't"  or "probably should"?

Sounds like a song by Gorillaz with the singer from White Town, a drum line from Sepultura and some kind of soaring organ music from like.. Faith No More (no, that would be sacrilege).. Mumford and Sons or one of those other crappy hipster bands.

    One of my favorites.

Also,  very  relatable to playing Achaea as a sub- logosian

  • It's like... you just never know
    You never know

I got a whole lotta liquor in me
Whole lotta little things on my mind
I got a girl on the other side of town
She wonders why I never come around

I've got all these insecurities a woman can't fix
And now I know that liquor and depression don't mix
    Where to now?
    Nothing to lose now

    Bounce
I was headed towards my fate
Until somewhere I lost my way
    Something's gotta give right now
So this is what it is right now

    All or nothin, nothin, nothin
    All or nothin, nothin
Didn't work this hard for nothin, nothin, nothin
So I'm gonna act up, I'm gon act up, go stack up when I cash out

    Didn't work this hard for
    Didn't work this hard for
    Success is overrated
    I could be the greatest
Maybe 'cause I'm faded or I'm heavily sedated, but
I'm just tryna make it, I'm just tryna make it
And no, I don't need the fame
I just need to make some changes, so

Please forgive me this isn't the kinda image I
Wanted to paint for you, hope you don't think I'm crazy, now
Real art is amazing, ain't that a shame?
You the greatest in the game, gettin' faded for the pain
    So we all bounce

    Bounce
    I can't live like this
    Something's gotta give right now
So this is what it is right now

    All or nothin, nothin, nothin
    All or nothin, nothin
Didn't work this hard for nothin, nothin, nothin
So I'm gonna act up, I'm gon act up, go stack up when I cash out

    spread positivity

  • Dunno how I only found this band recently.

  • Dunno how I only found this guy today.

  • The first time I heard this song I was driving from Kansas to Michigan and was struggling to stay awake. This one definitely woke me up.

    MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
  • Got reminded of this song's existence again a few days ago by @Zackery

  • AFI is one of my favorite bands of all time!
  • Aside from Travis' meh autotuned part that doesn't fit with the song... This was surprisingly good.

  • I'm usually more into rock myself, but this was done by an artist from around the area I grew up in. (I can provide some translations if anyone is interested.  Some of the lyrics are in Yolngu Matha, the local language of the Aboriginal people of Arnhem Land, NT, Australia.)

    Mongolian folk rock/metal.

  • I wasn't going to, but you lured me in with the "metal" tag.  Pleasantly surprised. Well done you get a gold star.

  • Stick Monks?

This song, and really, the whole album, is extremely atmospheric and evocative, but this song in particular I don't get tired of listening.

I was actually into that. Good metal to it..  and then she couldnt headbang without bracing herself on her knees.  I have no legs and can thrash better.  Took me out of the song too much (huge fan of metal mixed with medieval theme videos) and I just cranked Otep instead.

That seems like a really weird thing to get hung up on. o_O I'm not normally a fan of metal though so maybe that's why it's not a big deal to me. I found my way to this via a rabbit trail that started with Nightwish. Try this instead? Diff song, but it's just the band playing and no attempt at thrashing.

  • Showcases her vocal range better imo. She is rather great.

  • God, I love this band. Few manage to sound as good live, as they do in the studio. Plus the level of crowd participation they manage to draw every single show they play. Hard to believe the band's almost 20 years old already.

Break your knee? Fuck it, play in a wheelchair instead of finding a replacement.
