Damn, Mizik, learn how to use GMCP to pull out denizen health. Also just go Bard to hunt. Bard says fuck you to pretty much anything as long as you have arties.
Does anyone have any strategies or tips on how I avoid this attack? He didn't even put sensitivity on me and it takes less affs than unravel to do an explosion. I feel like this needs classleaded during the next rounds.
Edit: Alrena figured it out. She gave clumsy before the second rend on the left leg and it still gave a positive hit message for me, but did no damage/affliction to her.
Just don't fight alchemist, basically, unless you enjoy having to run every five seconds. There's obviously some secret Makarios is expecting us to pick up on, unless it really is just running away...
Alchie is a lot fight-able nowadays that more and more people knows about Alchie. For 2h, go with wrist ginseng stack lethargy hurts them very noticeably.
Lol that doesn't work. Just swap to temper/single wrack and bleed them out if they want to whore lethargy. Serverside still doesn't handle homunculus corrupt correctly. Even with lethargy, mercury germinate will outpace your curing with singlewrack/temper. Or they just smack you right back with lethargy. Either way it's not going to help 2hander.
Just when you get used to one affliction class, there is another that destroys you in seconds. It's Cain-laptop-smashing infuriating me at the moment
I think you may be shooting yourself in the foot by using continuation a lot vs a locking class. It effectively makes you a non fitness class on cooldown.
I don't, that's probably part of my problem as I'm still unsure on how to fight each class. It bugs me that we have to code a specific defence for each class. what happened to just being able to go out there and fight?
I did wonder on the continuation use though, I added in some auto triggers for it but tempted to take them out and manual it
You definitely want to manual continuation, yeah. Got to remember it not only makes it so you can't use fitness, but you can't use focus precision/speed either until you regain battlefury balance
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
I've run the below prio swap for as long as I can remember for alch:
elseif aff.asthma and aff.impatience and tempered() then
switchPrios("asthma", 1 )
Only one I've ever really fought recently is Proficy and he's pretty good with it. I haven't fought him as 2h so I don't know too much about the pitfalls, but I was fighting a DWC pally (Aylek) yesterday and found that I was way better off using precision because of the spam paralyse/clumsy. Make every hit count.
God damn, SNB shuts down Alchemist so hard, though. I couldn't get any momentum (for lock OR parry bypass) as DWC vs shield/clumsy/para. SNB para bypass is what really sets it apart from the rest.
Depends, I guess. Endorphin + petrifying (if you're not afraid to take the celerity malus) + weariness + clumsiness + lethargy + para can really throw back 2h's momentum. Would personally just count limbs and use leg prone parry bypass to build skull fracs and go on from there, if I were going 2h against alchemist.
Against SnB, would just skip para altogether and lean on clumsiness and lethargy.
Why would you skip paralysis versus SnB, when they take increasing amounts of health/mana damage from constantly using dedication.. If anything, you should use it primarily, and just dry aurify them, if they insist on using it constantly.
Sure, if they used it constantly and shifted their prios away from para to lean on it, and if I noticed repeated dedication procs, would abuse that. Still, I don't think that most opponents would be silly enough to self-kill themselves more than once in that fashion, and so would stop using dedication before aurify thresholds were reached. Hence, I'd just cut out paralysis entirely since it's not really helping me and just focus on alternative hindering/locking.
Looking at the log, I'd say you would've had that if you'd treed aggressively. There were a couple of times if you'd treed off clumsy your momentum would've easily outpaced (plus the continuation thing other people mentioned). I assume you're trying to save tree to break locks, but frankly you cannot afford to do that as two h vs alchemist.

You giving combat log input is insanely awesome to me.

I like it because he sees where both the defensive stuff needs help, and then pokes fun at the offensive stuff the people have done. Thanks for not poking fun at my nologic dstab skills. Oh wait... it's because i dont do anything

What sorts of priority swaps do you have?

Doesn't 2H out pressure Alch?
