Got it! As Chiam gestures toward you, lines of sharp pain slash across your skin. added more bleeding, and the inflame hit did bleeding * 6. So I had to have around 900 bleeding.
haha. impaled 2 times consecutively + bleed/bloodlet with haemophilia stuck (cannot clot) there pretty much guaranteed the kill. Prompt did not show bleeding probably coz it did not tick before you died

This is why you always kill the shaman first in group combat if you can help it
Weariness change put the affliction lock way over the top.
The aff output isn't that big of a deal until you're doing 30% damage while triple afflicting.
Only does damage (significant) if you already have the aff. Better to electrify or shockwave then.
We only have enough ap for 3 overcharges in a row from max. So if you turtle through that and reset you should be fine. Kelp prio against 4x kelp aff isn't the best way to avoid the lock either.

What aff?
Also, lol, what should you prio? I got 3 kelp afflictions on the same balance, and 1 focus/goldenseal. I cured two kelp afflictions, and on the next balance I got both of them back+impatience. The class has all lock affs on demand, on top of affliction rates that outpace pretty much every other aff class. I don't see a limiting factor in what Sylvan can do at all. AP isn't limited in the slightest, obviously. It's simple to generate and keep your AP.

Lock affs aren't on demand. They require both AP and that you have other affs stacked. Against Sylvans I would advise focusing on the goldenseal affs over the kelp ones, as they can't lock without impatience, and impatience is rather frustrating to give.
The counterplay to Sylvans is noticing when they're spending AP and negating that somehow by either evading, using active cures, etc. Still, they build up AP fast.
Gotta love 7 afflictions and 30% damage in 2s. Why is Sylvan this potent with afflictions and damage while being this fast? I don't get it.
Yep. I got locked too in a rampage, flew away and halle'd. As a bard whoring curare / epic / pesante, I got locked if I don't shield and turtle, shouldn't be that way, Bard's hinder is too much yet Sylvan still locks. Needs some attention here, though I am not sure if there's anything limiting their ability to deliver 3 kelp + dizzi repeatedly, then impatience, then seal the lock.

You're not understanding what I'm saying.
The lock affs are on demand because there is no limiting factor to Sylvan giving it, other than a pre-req for an aff. That's not exactly a limiting factor. With a skill that progresses for you, you don't even have to worry about what they are curing, because you're going to progress regardless. You can't ignore paralysis to cure impatience/dizziness or else you'll never be un-paralysed. Calling a stacking mechanic a limiting factor akin to Hypnosis/Humours isn't accurate.
Also, AP is -easy- to generate and it lasts a long long time. There are two classes with evade, so that's not a good suggestion for 90% of the playerbase. Active cures are stopped by weariness (mostly), which Sylvan has on demand and can give with two other kelp afflictions at the same time (as shown in the log). If we were talking about a single kelp aff and having "stuck" two others before, sure, I would agree with you.
That's not the case though. You instantly are given a 33% chance of curing the affliction that stops your active, or you cure the non-threatening affliction (dizziness) in the hope that you won't get impatience on the next balance (it would have just given dizziness, and I'd be back at square one).

Confused by what you mean by a limiting factor. There is a pre-req of another aff and AP. You can argue those are too easy to reach, and I would agree. Still I don't think the reason Sylvan is broken is because they have lock affs 'on demand'. Every affliction lock based class has a way of giving lock afflictions, though for some it is harder than others. If I was a sylvan and wanted to give you exactly impatience and weariness, it would take me ten seconds. That's not on demand.
I agree that Sylvan damage is absurd and should be looked at. Don't think their afflicting power is as insane. If you look at the log, you had dizziness/asthma/clumsiness/weariness/impatience. That's all he could afflict with overcharge. He was going to follow up with slickness/anorexia. If you randomly ate to cure asthma or impatience, you were out. If you used your balance to shield, walk away, or fly, you were out. If your tree tattoo was up and you got lucky after the lock (which doesn't afflict paralysis) you were out. If you had goldenseal affs as #1 priority, you would have cured dizziness instead of clumsiness and he would have reafflicted that instead of impatience, curing you out of the lock until he tried again.
To answer your point of putting goldenseal over bloodroot in a regular fight, you're right it would be detrimental. But when a sylvan is going for a lock on the last two-three balances, they cannot afflict paralysis.

Also, it's 7.3:1 damage:bleed ratio. 9.4 if you have sensitivity.
I've killed Dairon in dragonform from 97% health (~8500 maxhp) with inflame before, it was glorious.

And that was before this newfangled cheating bloodlet stuff.
When I was shamaning back then, I liked inflame too. No one is expecting it to hit, people go like "what killed me?"
You can also inflame soulscourge vodun throttle, jinx bleed inflame? Ouch.
Damn it @Mizik
