Totem diving or being beckoned into totem and still retaining DRS, and being able to enfeeble, kai choke, crush while prone and transfixed is op as shit. Let's not be silly.
No shit it is. Everyone (rational) acknowledges that. The TLDR here is that whining about it continuously doesn't award any forward progress and is, in fact, detrimental to your overall attitude.
Eh, maybe. Since they just rolled out Monk classleads without addressing the issue, from our perspective it looks like the administration thinks that Monks are working as intended. Classleads have been (temporarily?) abandoned, so there's no formal way to suggest combat changes, but at the same time it's necessary for the players to be able to express discontent in some manner. Yelling about it on the forums probably isn't the best way, sure, but there aren't a whole lot of avenues left to most players. I guess a poll or something might work better, I dunno.
For...blizzard's sake, stop nerfing my class, will you? Seriously now, I can't think of any other class that has been nerfed so many times during the years I've been playing Achaea. Monks obviously have some advantage in combat, but that's because they specialize in that. Other classes have trading, utility abilities and many other cool features, so I'm not giving up on my enfeeble unless you give me phase. >:P
No one really argues prone isnt fine. It is that you can do it paralysed and transfixed. Whining about it constantly will only be detrimental to your cause, though. It isnt like it is a factional instability so it isnt majorly pressing as an issue, but it will get seen to eventually. Personally I would rather see other classes.go the same way as Monks. But I suppose being factional with priests can dull your offense sense. Or some other priest-is-boring-as-shit joke.

Out of curiosity, what abilities do you think would balance out prone kaido + best ranged offense + best artefact scaling + one of the best 1v1 sets?
There probably is no other class that's been so heavily nerfed, and yet monk is still one of the strongest classes in the game.
I can't argue that, but frankly you're making your opinion considering artied Monks which obviously have quite an advantage, while overlooking the ones that lack any artefact that would aide them in combat. If this class gets nerfed at this rate, we'll end up with only bashing capabilities and even then Spire will come out of the crowd and prove Monk an OP class making everyone rageqq.

Edit: missed a word
Actually, I'm not a Mark, nor a real combatant, so I'll stop arguing about this and instead just go Bard when time comes.
Okay. That was a serious question though; I wasn't being facetious. The 'we have less utility' shows up in a lot of places, and I'm always curious about how people value utility vs. combat.
Bard is fun combat, takes a little bit of time to learn to utilize it well. Sentinel traps are cool. I used to enjoy trapping mhaldor isle mountainside and have Penwize jumping me because it hit him.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

Relevant combat log. Monk has 15 strength. I'm level 79, and pretty fat for the level (15 con in Viridian with all possible Sylvan stuff minus concoction sip bonus). This spar lasted almost exactly one minute; I was prepped in seven combos that bypass parry via roundhouse. This is the end, and it begins with me on full health & no torso damage with an icewall to the west. I'm also on the edge of two arena areas, not that it ended up mattering.
[16/06/2013 - 15:50:45.289]: Your aura of weapons rebounding disappears.
[16/06/2013 - 15:50:45.291]: You command the razor-edged thorny vines around you to lash out and rend the right leg of Rom.
So Rom did land an almost perfectly timed break combo from the thornrend, but he had a larger window in which he could have comboed and still gotten the axk in before I made it out. I'm not sure what more I can do, and I'm not even close to being able to tank that (there were still two punches coming). Even if I did, in most scenarios you can't guarantee being able to tumble into a different area or having an icewall up, which means you're most likely going to eat a choke/mind crush/jpk. This is why monks keep getting nerfed- look how fast I (a relatively tanky midbie) was obliterated with a very basic setup and thirty seconds of prep that involves hitting the key to do roundhouse/hfp left/hfp right seven times. When you consider being able to use several extremely powerful abilities while prone/entangled/paralysed as well, people start raising eyebrows. Anyway, thought I'd share a quick log from the middle/bottom of the pack. Suggestions welcome.
Just think, you would have died quicker if he enfeeble/axekicked. The counter I used against monk breaks was to tumble and force them to choose between rushing for a kill or chasing and trying to kill without stance, but now they can chase without losing stance. My best advice would be to try and keep an icewall up to tumble behind on break, but most monks will not break you with something like that up.
You are not a class that uses weapons, so he has no need to use rebounding, and therefore you cannot self-break when he goes on the defensive. He has the blunt icon, so his damage will be ridiculous. You are not a monk, so you cannot kai cripple prone or anything silly like that, and even if you had a mount, he could just banish it and still enfeeble.
I would probably just link him a really funny video and break torso/heartseed.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
