    Stealing this. Shamelessly.

Edit: Really, you did it to yourself.

Functional library on my Strider. Tokens, furniture, fireplace, and bookshelves is like... half the cost of my ship. :|

But now I can sail around the world collecting books written by players in the game. Looking forward to it!

A lavishly decorated arcane library (indoors).
This room has not been mapped.
Heavy, velvet curtains have been pulled back from the tall, ceiling-high windows, which illuminates the whole scene by day, and luminescent mosses upon the ceiling provide light by night. Above in the beams of the ship's cabin of this grand library can be seen hundreds of vines that grow along the walls, each one glowing an eerie blue and illuminating the entire room with phosphorescence when it is under complete darkness with the ceiling painted with the night sky, and small jewels twinkle like stars in the light. Underfoot, the pine floor is covered with a lush silk carpet with each corner piled with comfortable
cushions of soft velvet and silk. In the center of the spacious room stands a large wooden statue of a robed figure holding a drawn sword in one hand and an open scroll in the other, marrying the warrior with the scholar. Containing the collected wisdom of many scholars, rows of bookshelves surround the sculpture like the spokes of a wheel. The shelves that fill up virtually every open section of wall are filled with expensive leather-bound books. The reddish-gold surface of a beautiful wooden desk sits on the far side of the room - a matching chair tucked neatly underneath. A selection of comfortable furniture is placed strategically throughout the area to allow individuals to study or read in peace. Radiating warmth throughout this cozy space, a stone hearth along the south wall burns with arcane flames in hues of blue and green.

Edit: made it easier to read on the screens of phones

That is not an ordinary star, my son. That star is the tear of a warrior. A lost soul who has finished his battles somewhere on this planet. A pitiful soul who could not find his way to the lofty realm where the great spirit awaits us all.

I am not an expert, but is a moss a good idea on a library? Otherwise I rather like the description

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

Probably not! But it's an arcane library. XD
That is not an ordinary star, my son. That star is the tear of a warrior. A lost soul who has finished his battles somewhere on this planet. A pitiful soul who could not find his way to the lofty realm where the great spirit awaits us all.
  • I'd probably condense a few of those sentences. I'll peel the first one out so you can see it alone.

"Above in the beams of the ship's cabin of this grand library can be seen hundreds of vines that grow along the walls, each one glowing an eerie blue and illuminating the entire room with phosphorescence when it is under complete darkness with the ceiling painted with the night sky, and small jewels twinkle like stars in the light."

  • First customisation!

Appearance: a mystical shield of black ice
Dropped: Chilling the ground beneath it, an ancient shield lies discarded here.
Deathly cold to the touch, this immense barrier seems perpetually surrounded by an almost palpable aura of eerie black mist. Richly polished obsidian comprises the majority of this mystical shield, expertly etched with a multitude of veins and jagged ridges so as to give it the appearance of glacial ice. In stark contrast to the mist and darkened surface, a vast array of shimmering diamonds have been perfectly embedded across the center, creating an intricate pattern depicting a predatory tundra wolf, hiding amidst the darkness with its large topaz eyes gleaming wickedly. Decorating the upper edge of the ovoid shield, a line of serrated chain links have been fastened to the rim, each one ending in masterfully-crafted skulls of polished blood ruby, clinking and swaying with the wielder's movements. On the reverse side is a solid bar of dusky cobalt mithril that runs through the center, straps of charred leather secured to both ends as a means to attach to one's forearm in combat.

Re-customized my sword to celebrate LVL3 artie bastard. I always knew Shirszae would end up wielding something as big as her. And yes, it is long, but I've seldom been more happy with one of my descriptions.

Appearance: Caoineadh, a massive long-hilted carmine sword
Dropped     : A massive carmine sword with a precious hilt of ivory lies here.
Examined    : A fearsome instrument of war, Caoineadh is no less a tapestry of her wielder's faith, one freely laden with artistry. The blade - forged from fine carmine steel - is simply enormous, nearly five feet in length and over one and a half in breadth. It is decorated with the gilded tracings of countless verses in stylised northern script along the keen edges which, along the subtle taper, adds a touch of elegance to the otherwise hulking weapon. The ivory relief of a petite woman in heavy folds of mauve upon the fuller accentuates this, swathes of black hair framing the pallor of her delicate features and diminutive lips, the latter twisted in a sad smile to match the sullen pinpricks of her downcast, emeralds eyes. About her head a setting sun is cast in bronze and blossoms like a halo, etched with a prayer in a flowing swirl of lines. At the very bottom the ivory spirals upon itself to create a remarkably long, slender hilt adorned with a bas relief that exhibits harrowing scenes of the world's history, topped with a hefty pommel in the shape of a snow blossom.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

  • Some of the wedding designs! I kept the crafter's guild in business for the next decade or so, and the customisations folks got a good bit, too, hehe.

    Aereidhna's outfit:

    DRESS
Appearance: a timberwolf grey wedding dress worked with silver
Dropped: A timberwolf grey wedding dress worked with silver is folded neatly here.
Examined: Skillfully handwoven, deeply textured tussar silk dyed timberwolf grey elegantly drapes the feminine form in the intricate bodice of this wedding dress. A square neckline frames the bust, bordered by a spray of pale lavender orchid petals wrought in a fine, pearlescent silk thread. The embroidered petals gather densely at the top edge of the fabric and then scatter, drifting organically down the bodice as though falling from a bouquet. A wide sash of habotai silk defines the empire waistline below, its vibrant indigo purple hue contrasting the muted tones of the grey and lavender. The fabric winds around the torso, tying into a large bow at the centre of the back, the ends fluttering down the back of the dress in airy wisps of fabric. Hammered silver threads constitute straps, twisting into the shape of vines and climbing over the shoulders, small thorns and leaves pressing into bare skin. The trailing vines criss-cross the shoulder blades in elaborate patterns, leaving the majority of the back bare above the sash. Beaten silver butterflies perch along the argent foliage, their wings aloft. Etched in painstaking detail, each miniature wing is variable in size and decoration, a light scattering of diamond dust rendering the flighty creatures iridescent. Slender lavender ribbons twist around the edges of the metalwork, securing it to the bodice along the sides. Several layers of whisper-thin habotai silk sway close against the wearer's body, extending from the sash to the floor to create a beautifully flowing skirt. The same muted timberwolf grey of the bodice interweaves with pale lavender, the colours changing and shifting as the shimmering fabric stirs with movement.

    SHOES
Appearance: heeled sandals woven with smoky grey silk orchids
Dropped: Heeled sandals woven with smoky grey silk orchids rest side by side here.
Examined: These two-inch high-heeled sandals are made of wood and leather overlaid with lavender satin. A thick strap of lavender satin rendered iridescent with diamond dust stretches over the instep, while a thinner strap secures the shoe at the ankle. Silver wire is sewn in at either side of the arch, winding around the ankle and up the calf to the knee, interwoven with smoky grey orchids made of silk.
    BOUQUET
Appearance: a smoky grey orchid and silver butterfly bouquet
Dropped: A smoky grey orchid and silver butterfly bouquet lies here, abandoned.
Examined: Crafted of wire expertly wound in matt night-dark silk, the slender stems of this monochromatic orchid bouquet twist sinuously around one another, sprouting elongated charcoal leaves at odd intervals. Each stem grows up into a dense spray of silken orchid blooms, the colour of the tender petals and sepals palest at the tip and curling like smoke in a textured ombre to nearly black at the centre. Tiny butterflies carved from lightweight silver and intricately etched in miniature perch in a scattered pattern among the smoky grey petals, their shimmering wings rendered iridescent with a touch of diamond dust.
    ARMBAND
Appearance: a lavender silk armband knotted with silver charms
Dropped: A lavender silk armband knotted with silver charms lies here, abandoned.
Examined: A slender length of tussar silk winds several times around the bicep to create this armband. The beautifully textured, slubbed fabric is dyed a rich, changing lavender, the colours ranging from pale, nearly mauve, to a darker amethyst hue. Miniature silver charms dangle from amongst the layered strands, hand-knotted into the armband: a howling wolf, an eight-legged spider, a cello, a dancer's pointe shoe, and a trio of crocuses, orchids, and jacaranda blossoms.
    CHOKER
Appearance: a lavender silk ribbon choker
Dropped: A lavender silk ribbon choker lies here, abandoned.
Examined: A slender length of pure spider silk dyed pale lavender winds around the throat to form this choker, secured at the back of the neck with a small, intricate silver fishhook clasp. So thin it simply draws the eye to the sensual curve of the neck without holding too much attention, the ribbon is just wide enough to leave a message along the inside.

    Ring, handkerchief, wedding gifts

    RING
Appearance: a starlit white gold wolf and orchid wedding band
Dropped: A starlit white gold wolf and orchid wedding band lies here, abandoned.
Examined: An unassuming band of polished white gold inlaid with obsidian encircles the finger; speckled with diamond dust, it creates a glittery effect reminiscent of a starlit sky. The obsidian is chipped away in parts at the centre of the band, eradicated to reveal the underlying white gold, bringing out the brilliant details of the captured scene. The shape of a crescent moon is situated in the top right with an intricately etched wolf opposite. While the moon shines like a mirror, the wolf's delicate features are blackened, giving life to its fur, snout, and limbs. Tiny violet topaz gems form its smouldering, luminous eyes; its head is turned to the right while its body remains in profile, fur stirring in an imperceptible breeze. Woven around its right forepaw is the emerald stem of an orchid. Misty grey quartz curves outward, blossoming into open petals facing up towards the wolf's body. Chips of emerald and peridot dot the landscape at its feet like grass while the beast holds a single crocus blossom of amethyst and emerald gemstones between its jaws with a loving, protective grasp. The backdrop of a starry night sky adds depth to the beauty of the scene.
    HANDKERCHIEF
Appearance: a grey and lavender lace-edged handkerchief
Dropped: A grey and lavender lace-edged handkerchief lies here, abandoned.
Examined: A square of timberwolf grey habotai silk forms this handkerchief, edged in needle lace finely wrought from lavender silk thread. The intricately stitched lace creates a pattern of vines and leaves surrounding the square. The same pearlescent lavender silk thread is delicately embroidered in a dense spray of orchid petals at one corner, gradually falling to scatter across the grey fabric as if from a bouquet.
    CUFFLINKS (wedding gift for Navarr)
Appearance: luminous moonflower cufflinks of shimmering nacre
Dropped: Luminous moonflower cufflinks of shimmering nacre lie here, abandoned.
Examined: A groom's pair of white gold cufflinks bears an intricate design of moonflowers, adding a bespoke flair to any outfit. Chips of textured malachite decorate the post in an abstract mosaic pattern, creating a verdant, flowering vine. Shimmering nacre, carefully shaped and melded to a white gold backing, forms the delicate petals of a moonflower in full bloom on either side of the vine. The irregular, curling shape of the petals is rendered in perfect imperfection, the wide, radiant blooms luminous even in deepest shadow.
SOCKS (wedding gift for Navarr - in case of cold feet!)
appearance: a pair of cosy violet paw print socks
dropped: A pair of cosy violet paw print socks are neatly folded here.
examined: Fibres of soft Sangre wool and Colchian silk dyed a lustrous violet combine to form these luxurious, warm socks. Covering the leg from toe to mid-calf, they are suited to both lounging and everyday wear in cold climates. A pattern of adorable four-toed wolf paw prints embroidered in ebon silk thread decorates each sock.
    LOCKET (wedding gift for Navarr)
appearance: a white gold and moonstone compass rose locket
dropped: A white gold and moonstone compass rose locket glitters on the ground.
examined: Expertly moulded eighteen carat white gold forms an intricately designed circular locket. A stylised, decorative compass rose deeply carved into the face adds character and symbolism to the piece. Letters marking the cardinal directions emboss the raised and notched outer frame while white gold arrows criss-cross the centre. Their sharp tips touch the four directions with smaller arrows indicating the intermediate directions. The arrangement is reminiscent of a star with a polished moonstone gem inset at the centre, a smoky luminescence emanating from its depths. Nearly imperceptible, a simple etching of the word 'home' in small cursive letters inscribes the back of the locket. Two miniature paintings on creamy birch bark parchment take up the inner frames, held in place by circular metal edges and protected by a slender, removable pane of glass. The left portrait depicts a group of children, their features rendered vividly in quality oil pigments. A woman's luminous face graces the portrait on the right, her changeable, textured malachite eyes and riotous sunset copper curls vibrant against the rich cream of the parchment. Caught in a burst of giggles, her irrepressibly wide smile gives life to the tiny brushstrokes as kind laugh lines crinkle at the corners of her eyes. The beautiful quality of the metalwork and the polished surface indicate the locket is exquisitely made and well cared for, yet small grooves and the occasional dull spot betray constant wear and the frequent touch of a loving hand.

An additional layer of glaze spreads over the top, a smooth mix of melted butter, rich brown sugar, and dark Obelito rum. A swirl of lemon buttercream frosting adorns the cupcake, topped with a yellow and black striped bumble bee perched on a white daisy petal, both shaped from lemon-flavoured marzipan. A dash of orange juice adds a sweet, tart kick to the raspberry layer while the secret ingredients of buttermilk and strong kawhe render the cake unbelievably moist. Sweet champagne flavours a tall swirl of cream cheese frosting with a pale pink champagne marzipan butterfly perched on top, its wings piped with intricate designs in vibrant raspberry icing. Examined: Vanilla and coconut rum flavour this incredibly light and fluffy chiffon wedding cupcake, its yellow passionfruit centre adding a sweet-and-sour kick and a heady, tropical fragrance. Coconut rum buttercream frosting creates an intricate design of verdant jungle vines and beautifully drawn crimson fire orchids over the top, the petals camouflaging a multicoloured coconut marzipan hummingbird. A drizzle of pale yellow passionfruit syrup dots the centre of the orchid as nectar from which the hummingbird drinks. A glittery violet lace filigree paper doily baking cup ensconces the cupcake, reminiscent of a passionfruit's purple skin.
Firsteaten: You take a bite of a wedding cupcake frosted with fire orchids, its tart passionfruit centre mixing with coconut rum chiffon cake in a tropical medley. Quickly devouring the cupcake, you pop a coconut marzipan hummingbird in your mouth.

appearance: a miniature wolf rumball sculpture on a plate
dropped: A miniature wolf rumball sculpture looks to be slowly melting on a silver plate.
examined: A helping of chocolate rumballs, carefully moulded, forms the shape of a miniature wolf. Fudgy cake, raisins, chopped almonds, and golden rum mixed together with a liberal scoop of chocolate sprinkles are carefully sculpted to create the body and head of the animal. The dense mixture, chilled to hold its shape, slowly warms in the surrounding air, exuding a heady aroma of smooth Obelito rum, fruit, and rich cocoa. • After Elipise's tragic events, I wanted to do something for her, but my creativity skills as so poor. But anyway, this is my terrible attempt at creating something:

Memoria, Robes of the three lays here.
Memoria, a robe lined with blue and pink accents

Made from a fine silk, this elegent silver robe regally covers from the cold. The shoulders are latched over, gentle golden accents line the outer side, with a gentle silver hue over the rest. The arms are loose fitting, ending with a ruffle of warm fur, dyed pink with blue tips. The robe itself is of simple design, a gentle silver body with dull golden accents around the outer sides of the openings. Wrapped around the waist, to secure the robes are two delicate pink belts and one delicate blue belt, the buckles made of a beautiful gold. The robes continue down, the bottom hems cut with a fine shimmer of gold. Embroidered above the chest is a crest consisting of a tiny hand and the initials L.N.E. Below it.

    First customisation!

    That is awesome.

  • Nothing fancy, but I finally got around to making Qwyn a lab set:

    protective white laboratory gloves
Sewn to meet the exacting demands of a laboratory environment, these gloves provide practical protection during hazardous experiments. Heavy white canvas has been sewn in a thick double-layer, with a slick sileris sealent waterproofing the material against stray splashes and dangerous conditions. The gloves reach up over the elbow, with long laces ensuring they can be tied snugly tight to remain in place through the rigours of scientific work.

    a protective white laboratory mask
Designed to cover the entire head, this mask has been created for the unique specifications of a laboratory environment. Double-layered canvas has been treated in a thick sileris sealent, coating the fabric against stray splashes and spills, while several layers of fine muslin mesh cover the mouth to filter out dust and other particulates. Thick glass, inset in an iron frame, creates a goggle-eyed view panel, allowing the wearer to perform dangerous and demanding tasks safe from most harm.

    a white laboratory coat
Clearly designed to meet the demanding needs of a laboratory environment, this coat is sewn from a heavy thick canvas, the material bleached a brilliant white before being treated in a thick sileris sealant to give it a protective, splash-proof finish. A high-cut neck protects the throat, fabric folding over to the right shoulder where a line of buttons closes down the side to snugly secure the garment. Roomy pockets open at each side, with a third pocket sewn above the left breast, all lined in waterproof oilcloth for quick and easy storage of any instruments a scientist may need. As a final security measure, laces wrap around the wrists and criss-cross up the back, ensuring a tight, protective covering against any experimental mishaps in the lab.

This isn't necessarily derogatory towards you, but you have some sort of fascination for -giant= weapons bordering on a fetish, haha. Like I just want you to get out a tape measure and see how fucking massive that is. Not a bad basis for the description, though.

  • Doot doot.

I think her measurements are about what a bastard sword / claymore should be (picture is just what the measurements remind me of, not what her actual sword does)

Her sword is bigger than Cloud's buster sword.

Yes, the measurements in length are not to far from what a real two-hander sword would be, mostly just broader. But yes, I like big swords. Specially so in video-games like DS where you can send people flying over the edge with them.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.

Sure about that? The opening line says it's 6 feet long, 12 inches wide.

Wider, not longer. But was the sword in that video built to spec?

Edit: it's longer than your average two-hander by at least a foot and a half, which wouldn't necessarily be terrible. The hilt could be longer than average too, but there's no length specified. It's the width that's killing me. A foot and a half wide would put that greater than most helicopter rotors. I do understand the anime aesthetic, I just (disclaimer, personal opinion) think it looks bleh in Achaea.

  • From a quick check (the art and game models aren't very consistent though), comparing the sword to Cloud's height it does seem to be about 6 feet long (give or take a few inches) from the end of the hilt to the tip of the blade, about 4'8"-4'11" for the blade alone, but every image I've seen is considerably narrower than 12 inches, usually more like 9-10.

So Shirszae's sword is about the same length as the Buster Sword, and about twice as wide.

    To complete the set!
     Appearance: a hand-blown glass scabbard
Dropped: Glinting elegantly in the light, a glass scabbard lies here.
Examined: The finest craftsmanship has been poured into this hand-blown glass scabbard. Formed and molded repeatedly to maintain the perfect fit for its sister blade, the glass has been stained a deep crimson. Etched along the outside of the scabbard, elegant symbols have been filled with gold to stand in contrast with the scabbard's hue. Capping the end of the scabbard, gold has been fashioned into the shape of a phoenix, with tiny eudialyte gems placed as its eyes. A single ring of ivory rims the top of the scabbard, serving as the barrier between the glass and the hilt of the sword it is fashioned to hold.

Also did a draw message, because why not?
A sharp glare of light accompanies your movements as you draw a luminous glass longsword from a hand-blown glass scabbard.
A sharp glare of light accompanies Atalkez's movements as he draws a luminous glass longsword from a hand-blown glass scabbard.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • Atalkez's. It bugs me, and I can't put my finger on why :(

    Pretty, though!

All their other ones supposedly were, Sephiroth's Masamune for instance. Or the gunblade from FF8. Just going off other designs!

Should add an additional line -

"Caution : risk of shattering when sufficient blunt force is applied, wear in close proximity to your crown jewels at your own risk."
