Appearance: a crystalline salt staff Dropped: Thrumming with a faint blue light, a crystalline salt staff lies here.
Examined: Measuring an impressive six feet in length, but only a few inches in width, this exceptionally large, cultivated salt crystal has been carefully selected for use as a staff. Its base begins in a rough and jagged edge, which quickly smooths to a flat hexagonal prism that defines the weapon's distinctly crystalline shape. The staff extends in straight segments interrupted by small irregular turns along its length, until blooming outward in a larger crown. The crown boasts a multitude of natural facets that bend any light passing through them, splaying it out in polychromatic hues across the room. Throughout the whole length, occasional thrums of deep blue energy pulse from the staff's core in a quiet, reverberating beat.
This isn't incorrect, technically speaking. The blue energy is kai energy, which keeps it bonded. We opted to not specifically name it as such, because people might not know kai energy in-game is blue, so they'd be pedantic and be, "How do we know it's kai just from looking at it?!"
I decided (a few days ago) to change my instrument specialisation from lyre to mandolin. I then bought and customised a mandolin.
A: a black maple mandolin
Awaiting the touch of a maestro, an ebony mandolin lies here.
E: Four pairs of silver strings stretch tautly across the pear-shaped face and body of this simple, elegant instrument. The lovingly polished body and neck of the mandolin are expertly crafted from a lustrous cut of maple wood, sanded down to a velvet finish and stained a beautiful ebony. The soundboard has been formed from lacquered spruce, its stain giving the wood a hue reminiscent of the setting sun. The back of the instrument is gently convex, creating a sloping resonance chamber that amplifies the timbre and volume of the instrument almost supernaturally. Engraved upon the fretboard is a parade of silver nightingales, each in various moments of flight.
Has been Klendathu has ruined me for life with these and they stick out like neon lights.

I managed to find my old description for my artie rapier figured I'd throw it out for review before I get it customized
Appearance: a
mithril rapier
Dropped: A
mithril rapier lies here, light reflecting off its edges. Examined This
rapier's silver metal shines with a blue hue, reflecting light across its
surface in a beautiful, albeit menacing, glow. The blade has been
hammered into a thin blade that tapers down into a wicked point, its double
edges honed to a deadly sharp edge. Delicately etched upon the blade is a Siren
in mid-dance, her slender limbs wrapped around her body as she twirls
gracefully. Her long hair flows like a ribbon up the length of the
blade. A silver wire-wrapped hilt merges into a guard fashioned to
represent a stargazer lily. Each petal has been painstakingly wrought to
curve gracefully around the wielder's fingers, protecting them from blows while
adding grace and beauty to the blade. Three blue ribbons with tiny
bells adorned at the ends have been loosely attached to the hilt so they
flutter with breeze or movement, pealing soft music into the air. The heft and
feel of this rapier is remarkable, perfectly suited for any blade dancer.
Dropped: A crystalline polar bear cub is chewing on something between his juvenile paws.
Examined: Thin, clear needles make up the voluminous fur that cushions this chubby creature's short limbs and plump belly. Fluffed and puffed out, the thick pelt makes the cub appear larger than he actually is underneath. Tapered ears crown the bear's head and a stubby tail on his rump wags back and forth incessantly, but his large, juvenile paws lend him a comically ungainly appearance. His small button nose twitches constantly on his muzzle, but it is his black, beady eyes that are the liveliest features of his frosty face.
Enter: A series of bobs and hops brings a crystalline polar bear cub in from the $DIR.
Leave: A crystalline polar bear cub bobs and hops away to the $DIR.
Death: A shattered crystalline bear cub lies here beside a chewed-up lump of dormium.
Dropped: Serving as a horrifying reminder, a grotesque shield has been cast aside.
Examined: Glistening with fresh sanguine droplets, the unmistakable metallic scent of blood perpetually wafts from the face of this shield. Carmine steel comprises the base of this immense barrier, further enhancing the bloodied appearance that it's taken. Layering the front face of the shield, a vast array of severed bone fragments have been affixed, reinforcing the sturdy metal further; marrow and pieces of sinew still visible throughout. On the reverse side is a mithril-reinforced femur running through the centre, attached by steel links and serving as a means to attach to one's forearm in combat.
Dropped: Stirring tumultuously, a rapier of living water lies here.
Long: Metal and liquid marry to create this deadly blade. Twined in rings of blue steel, the grip is heavier than would be expected of a light sword, telegraphing its need to serve as a ballast. The quillons are pitch, a spiraling guard of filigree adorning the hilt as it wraps around into an intricate knuckleblow. What first appears to be dark metal is instead a tendril of living water, the aqueous solution used to craft the filigree. Flecked with gold, the water undulates around a short fuller to form the blade itself. The liquescent edge ripples toward any incoming blow, the tumultuous ripple of life ceasing as the blade thins to near imperceptibility to accept the force. Gold flickers within the cerulean fluid, shifting with the tendril’s endless current. In contrast to the rest of the rapier, the pommel is polished silver. Engraved into it are two dragons lacquered gold and black, the dichotomous twins chasing each other endlessly.
Short: a flowing shield of water
Dropped: Dampening the ground, a shield of water lies here.
Long: The only metal of this shield is a small circular rondel made entirely of silver. Seated in the centre of the rondel is a sapphire, the facets seeming to shift like waves. The disc is attached to a vambrace of black leather, the armour intended to cover the arm from wrist to just below the elbow. Apart from the mundane the shield itself is an aqueous projection streaming from the sapphire. Roughly the size of a targe, the shield ripples and churns tumultuously, the water moving as if to anticipate an impact. When at rest, the water ripples toward undefined edges, ending in a noiseless crash of waves breaking at the land’s edge of the sea.
Short: pitch fingerless gloves of worn leather
Dropped: Forgotten, a pair of gloves lies here.
Long: It is obvious to even an untrained eye that these gloves have held together longer than the leather or thread should allow. Yet, despite the state of the wear, the pitch colour is still bold, dark enough that the gloves could have just been freshly dyed. Some hint to the longevity of the tailoring lies in the archaic runes threaded into the weave along the hands, the musk of earth occasionally wafting away from the runes as they pulse faintly with magic.
This last one is awaiting submission:
Short: An ebon hood
Dropped: A dark hood is here.
Examined: Silken and thin, this capacious hood envelops the head and shoulders. Despite its light fabric, no light penetrates the depths of the garment’s material, instead the silky threads seeming to absorb and extinguish light when cast upon it. When pulled upward, the inkiness swallows the features, casting a pall upon the face and neck, making the features little more than a well of impassable night.
I'm usually overly critical on things I haven't designed, and ridiculously on things that I have, but I have to say I like just about everything on these. GG.
To coin a favorite from you- FTFY.
(Yes this was from forever ago. I stopped playing and I'm playing catch up!)
These are already approved, but two of my recent customs:
Short: a raven-feather earring
Dropped: Feathers and silver tangle together on the ground here.
Examined: On the end of a long silver chain a trio of dark, scapular raven feathers dangle in a tiered fashion. The softer and much smaller feathers still retain the raven's unique colouring, changing from black to a purple or blue tint depending upon lighting. A singular, small peridot bead adorns the chain just above the lowermost feather, purposefully left in a rough cut rather than being smoothed out. As opposed to a traditional hook, the minuscule lengths of silver chain are attached to a thin metal piece intended to be pushed through the ear, followed by threading the chain until it dangles at the desired length.
Short: stormy, frost-laden wings
Dropped: Arcs of electricity splinter off the abandoned skeletal wings here.
Examined: Devoid of traditional feathers, a pitch skeletal structure makes up the basis of these wings. Each foster an avian scapula which fuse seamlessly into the shoulder blade of the one who wears them. Hoar-frost crawls along the spindly bones, adding another element of severity to their already grim span. Arcs of incandescent electricity jump between the two curved hooks that crown the radiale, an occasional webbing of diminishing energy trickling down the wings and shedding frost crystals in its wake.
Made these for Thiev. Not sure how I feel about them, but he liked them well enough.
Appearance: a morbid bone lash Dropped: Like an osseous pool, a gruesome lash lies coiled here. Examined: Comprised mostly of flayed and braided flesh, this lash extends just short of two feet in length when outstretched. Threaded at one end, a sturdy piece of bone is attached to the lash, carved into a claw to allow the tearing of flesh from victims. The gruesome makeshift leather has been treated and cured to be flexible, giving it dangerous speed and force for striking, or an impenetrable tool for garroting. Sinuously wrapping around the material, lengths of animal sinew keep small bone and metal chips in place, adding a vicious razor-like appearance to the grotesque weapon. At the base, the flesh is knotted to a piece of metal-reinforced bone, affording a firm grip to the wielder and preventing the entire piece from unraveling.
Appearance: a flesh-wrapped bone shield Dropped: A large carcass resembling a shield has been tossed to the side. Examined: Serving as the body of this immense shield, the ribcage of a large animal has been carefully removed from its carcass; spatterings of blood and muscle tissue still visible throughout. Adding strength to the barrier, a basketweave of cured and hardened flesh is threaded amongst the bones to create sturdy protection from weapons to the wielder, tied down by various pieces of sinew and catgut. Along the inside, more of the morbid strips are affixed to each of the ribs to allow the shield to be securely attached to one's arm in combat.
I loved those when I saw them. They are disgustingly awesome.

I asked @Milabar to write a description for my shackle of Garash. Here is what I have now .
Appearance (short_desc) - mithril shackle of marriage
Dropped (long_desc) - A shackle of marriage made from mithril lies here, abandoned.
Examined (extended_desc) - Brilliantly polished mithril jingles with each step taken by the wearer of these shackles. Rather than the links and chains of old, this mithril is formed into two distinctive hands, latches on all five fingers opening and closing with a simple touch of a hidden button. One hand is slightly larger than the other, going around the calf of the wearer while the other has a tighter overall grip, going around the ankle. A solitary black orb is held in stasis inside a delicate metal cage, the black dense metal orb spinning rapidly when the hands are clasped around ankle and calf. Hidden in the palm of each hand is a sunburst etching, held tight against the skin when worn.

As if Pyori wasn't adorable enough with her shield of blood/bone, and staff of salt. Thanks @Kaiu!
This sweater is made of a loose and fluffy dark mauve wool, and lined with the finest silk. The sleeves are extra long, extending several inches past the hands, folding under to wrap the fingers for added warmth. The shirt hem falls just below the hips. The billowy hood drapes loosely over the head, the soft folds keeping the face and neck warm, or can be pushed back casually. This pajama sweater is made for snuggling, and warm comfort.
