Mudlet crashing when I copy something

Anyone else having this problem? Seems after switching computers I have been experiencing crashes as soon as I copy something. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Just whenever right-click and copy anywhere on the mudlet client, it crashes.
  • Seems I was quick to blame the mudlet client but after logging onto mudlet 2.1 with my older computer(Windows Vista - basic ) I find that it didn't crash when I would copy/paste something. It must be something with windows 7 or just my new computer in general that is force closing mudlet when I copy/paste.
  • On Win 7, mudlet freezes for about half a second when  copy/paste from the main window, but it doesn't crash.

The first says it was programs on startup, the second says it was the video driver - neither the issue. Also, both were about Microsoft office, and Office 2013 works fine copy/pasting. It's only Mudlet, and on my wife's and my computer both.

Also, yeah, just seems to happen on 7. Threw mudlet on an older computer with XP, it doesn't seem to do it!

I've been using Mudlet on W7 for more than 2 years now without a single problem.

Just thought I'd throw it in there that it's not W7 in general, probably some kind of hardware configuration you've got going on. Is there anything unique about your processors (such as hyperthreading or something), RAM, or video cards?

Are there any hardware commonalities between the two 'afflicted' computers that might lead to a process-of-elimination style troubleshoot?

Edit: now does not equal not.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.
  • It seems it was something fairly simple, pc profile. For some reason Mudlet wouldn't allow me to copy/paste on a second profile even if an admin. I switched back to the main profile and it worked fine ( I don't even remember making a new profile heh )
  • Yeah, seems like a Windows oddity then.
