I'm pleased to announce another new feature that we've just added to the
realms - an update to our news system!

We've moved to a new backend for news posts, which allows expanded
functionality, such as searching news posts, and some other new
additions scheduled for the very near future (once any kinks are worked
out).

As far as general usage is concerned, everything will function as it has
been! To search the news, simply SEARCHNEWS <news section> [number to
start from] <search text>.

For example: To search for all occurrences for "Tecton" in the ANNOUNCE
news board, simply:
 SEARCHNEWS ANNOUNCE TECTON

If you only wanted to limit your search to the past 100 posts, you can
use:
 SEARCHNEWS ANNOUNCE 3650 TECTON

** Please note, that it currently only searches in the main body of the
post, but we're planning on expanding this some more once everything is
settled.

    It does seem to have measures in place to make it where you can only search what you have access to, heh.

    Edit: Like the announce post says, it only searches the body of the news post and not the headers (no to/from)

    Heh, it's also screwed with the Google Chrome addon.  It now seems to be counting backwards.  Currently I've read all the news but my news counter is showing -3

    I agree.

    Now NEWS is timeless, in that it doesn't just last as long as someone can remember. This really beefs up the NEWS system though, which I like.
