Obviously you couldn't bid with bound credits or escrow, but I would love to see this become a thing. Run it similarly to lotteries, but allow it to be set for crowns, credits, or gold. Have the highest bid be put into a different escrow so that the bidder can't accidentally spend it before the auction closes.

I also think it could help further stabilize(lower the price of) the credit market.

I've run plenty of auctions to great revenue. I'm not sure what is stopping you from doing that now.

I have too, but I'd like a medium that's more public/transparent/official.

@Peak I think the opposite. It makes it so if you are a dishonest person, you are punished for doing so and reputation will matter versus having an invisible 100% trustworthy 3rd party intervening. That being said, it may be useful for us to assemble perhaps a set of triggers and the like to automate running an auction a bit more. I think we could get a group interested in such a project.
