Credits for arefacts, etc.

I always convert my credits to lessons b/c I want to improve my skills as quick as possible. Should I start saving up for artefacts,etc? Or maybe look to do that at some time (level) in the future?

You should transcend your class skills at least before venturing into the realm of artifacts.  While artifacts are nice, lacking key class skills is going to hurt you far more than any artifacts are going to help you.
