Not sure who needs to see this but I think .insertAdjacentHTML seems to currently be significantly better than using .innerHTML in .appendChild, at least on Brave/Chrome.

Using .innerHTML ~ 12.4ms, or about 20 times more?
Looks similar on Nexus
