I like it, but there is one major problem. She appears to be some sort of ginger, which makes no sense in Achaea.
from CLHELP ASB (Achaea is Srs Business):
8. Achaea is obviously based on ancient real earth Achaea. Swarthy Greeks lived in sunshine and glory and orgies. Ergo, there could be no redheads. If you do want to be a ginger, go play some MUD based in the County Cork, ok?
There are two paths to chose if you are making light skinned red-heads canon.
a)
The panties and bra approach. Gingers look good in bras and panties. There is
a help scroll on this somewhere. This especially applies to breasts.
b) Gods have origins in a Irish/Scottish race. As a ginger, this is the approach I take in real life as well. However, if you start using Irish/Scottish bloodlines to canonise a Immortal
description, you will have drunk Gods and pasty, freckled Goddesses. This is a bit of a redundancy with Phaestus, and not favourable.
Dwarves can be fiery redheads because it is generally accepted as a trait of a
dwarf and there isn't much else to them. It can be reasoned that it's magical breeding or chemical imbalances. Xorans may be gingers because they have a
racial ancestor of Boudica.
The
reason people are fighting ginger Immortals so vehemently is because it
sets a standard of association. If Immortals can be gingers, that means they
are soulless, or they inherit traits of allergy to sunlight. If Immortals can be gingers, so can Grooks. If Grooks can be gingers, they can have red hair.
As to the authority of the author as canon, @Sarapis,
There have been many authors to the game since the induction of Artemis
(clans including ASB, gingers, houses and individual players), that
have vehemently said Immortals can't be ginger.
Which brings us back to the original discussion of super sexing the Immortal art to be sexily pale or freckled.
From
a playability angle, however, it seems some volunteers are put off from
playing gingers because they are too alien. So the choice is ultimately
to make Immortals into humans with pale, pale skin or keep them alien.
Whatever the case is, there should be clear guidelines as to what a race is, and what a race isn't - Because Achaea is a high roleplay environment and consistency is very, very important.
TL;DR Either immortals can be ginger or they can't. If they are, the roleplay reason needs to be better than 'because gingers are just hotter than you normals'.
(Life drawing lessons kicking in) Yeah as much as I like this piece, I would have to agree with quite a few people that the anatomy is a bit extreme. The limbs are too straight and her waist looks like she's wearing an awkward corset underneath. Maybe a widening of the shoulders and the arms to curve a bit could work.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."
