Nexus opens default character window and not the login window

I'm experiencing a login problem: when I start Nexus to play, Nexus opens up into the character window and not the login window. I've experienced this on two Windows computers, both running the most recent version of Windows OS.

Problem solved: It is doing this with IE 11 (version 11.0.9600.19130). Works fine in Chrome.
