Question about joining a house

Hello!
I'm quite new at this game, and so far, I've been really enjoying it. I'm playing a Grook occultist from Ashtan. I've read it's important to join a house early so I was wondering if there was a particular Ashtan House that was more suited for the type of character I'm playing.

Well, you would have to know more about your character, I'd wager! Each House has it's own culture, goals, etc etc, so just being a Grook Occultist doesn't rule any House out.

I suggest learning more about the Houses through in-character interactions with other players (also known as roleplay). This can help flesh out your character, meet new people in your city, as well as immerse you better than some forums can.

Completing your tasks should give you some basic information about each house and guide you to joining one.

Thanks for the advice. I'm trying to write a decent story for my character now , to be able to do a bit of RP. Still haven't finished doing the intro tasks yet so I'll do that too.
