How to properly ask questions from denizens

Hey! I encountered a problem - can't finish some quests, because I need to speak with a denizen, but I don't get any response from greet or ask.

Example: The Wonderful Life of Spiders (The Dungeon of the Beastlords)

The entomologist in the Great Rock has sent you to the Lucretian

Athenaeum in New Thera. Speak with Lara, Keeper of the Scrolls, who

should have a book Arinas wants to borrow.

So, I did a lot of things to start Lara talking, even brought her some kawhe from Cyrene, but she's still silent. 

P.S. I did "Ask Lara about  The Wonderful Life of Spiders" and tons of other variants.

Denizens generally react to either pre-defined emotes targetted at them (GREET usually works) or specific keywords being said in their presence. So you could try things like GREET LARA or SAY Arinas sent me to ask you about a book. (assuming that Lara reacts to "Arinas" or "book" being said in front of her). (Note: I don't know about this specific quest, so not sure whether either of those things will work).

I have heard denizens complain about being spoken to in one word sentences. 

Random denizen says, "Quest. Rock. Hammer. Nightshade. Who taught you adventures to speak, parrots?"

I once spam-greeted a denizen 10 times and it spam-greeted me back.
