Results of your globes??

Enjoyed reading what people were getting in their globes last time, albeit it was often depressing.

What have you all been getting this time? Thinking about getting a few myself, because the casino is too far away.

  • Everything.
I have gotten everything at least once..
Other than the fancy death themed winning artifacts.
I kinda want a mask.. so I am still buying globes.. in the hope of a mask

  • I'm guessing they're still usually not worth it? I remember they used to be a pretty big risk.
Are we still allowed to buy people globes in turn for IG unbound credits?? Used to sell 'em to Trey a lot.

  • Yes, you are. Cannot sell things directly for money though, against ToS.

Nothing, because I didn't cave and buy any. Ha! Take that IRE Promotions Team!

I just realized I get paid in two days. I'm doomed.

Bought one globe. Got thirty credits, two caches, 6k gold and some iron.

Proceeded to buy up the low end of the talisman market when the newspost went up and turned one globe into 250cr.

Sat back and laughed at the people raging at me for trying to get 20k for dummy pieces before the change.
    Huh. Neat.

@Trey You still looking to make those kinds of deals? Or give up on the globe game? ;D Though I'm actually enjoying opening em.
And I got some sort of "interlocked cache". Anyone know the value on those? Or usually just worth opening?

  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
@Stuneree they're about the same as anything else rng based, globes included. Possible to get utterly screwed, decent chance of making some change, or slim chance of serious bank.
    Huh. Neat.

Globes are fantastic little credit makers whether or not you choose to open them. Unopened they go for 30-35 unbound credits per without any of the risk. Interlocked caches rise and fall in the market too often. (I've never opened one to play the talisman market.) One day they can be worth 80 credits each and another day they can be 25 credits each. When I was selling caches they went for 50-75 credits each and some globes contained 2 in one. The pets and figurines only seem to peak during the couple of days after they're released and after that they're increasingly hard to sell. I used to open them the first week, but now I just sell the globes themselves. I've roughly made 1200 credits off of $150.00 in globes.

  • Ah I opened mine and got a couple of those mortal coil pieces, which seem a little bit less than excite-worthy. ;D Thanks for the info though!

  • Bought six more crates, got about 90 credits, an interlocked crate, and a dead animal crate. Entirely unaware of the values here, though the dead animal stuff I've seen on MARKET a lot.

  • Mostly they give 10-25 credits and talisman caches. I've gotten a couple crates from the last round, but sadly none from this round and I really want the two mini's that are out now! I had been hoping for a bone lyre from the first round but that most certainly did not happen. I got a hunter's belt out of one. The mask though is what I'm seriously rooting for, if I can get anyone to trade credits for globes! :pensive:
  • The globe splits open to reveal an oval mask!
The special globe prize has been claimed!
As the two halves fade away, you realise that you've also been gifted with 900 gold sovereigns, a
group of 26 sileris berries, a group of 10 spools of cloth, and an oaken vial!

I'm good now, got my mask with the bunch of globes I got this morning.

Before anyone asks.. I trade my credits for these globes, so far I'm doing okay

the gryphon and dragonlet are going for a lot more than the other skeletal ones, there seem to be less of them than the others. People are all over them, so you can get 30-50 credits for these two

I fucking cry anytime I hear that the "rare" minipets are going for 40cr.

What happened to the days of paying 400cr for those damned spiders? 200-300 for the cubs or pups? 70-80 for the ones that the market was flooded with and that nobody wanted?
    Huh. Neat.

Pets haven't always been that expensive. Much earlier on when there weren't many minipets around you could get them for reasonable prices for less than 40 credits. It wasn't until more became released that people realized they could maybe charge more to make a killing in profit to those who really wanted them. I prefer the way it is now. Minipets give you no advantage, they're just cute text pets that some of us enjoy collecting. Some of them used to go so high you were paying the price of actually useful artefacts, makes no sense. I'm not sure if this was intended by the admins, but maybe they don't want people to make such big profits for themselves on these. I've also seen some crated pets go for prices so high you were better off buying the basic custom pet package for something that only you have.
What doesn't kill you gives you exp.

  • The 'drop rate' of all of the items in these, perhaps barring talisman caches, seem super low. And since @Khaibit got the mask out of a special prize globe... does that mean it only comes out of that? Because that sucks if that's the case.

it does say on the news post that the death themed artifacts like the mask only come out on the special prize globe

  • AerekAerek East Tennessee, USA
Err, these Death-themed artefacts aren't any functionally different, right? People are spending hundreds of dollars for a 50cr customization?

Got my quiver and top hat from a normal globes. Id say its the base arte value?
  • As per Announce news #4573:
The opener of the prize globe will find an oval mask, in honour of the departed Lord Thoth this lifevision mask resembles the one that hid His visage from all.

  • The bigger question here is: Why was thoth hiding his face O.O
  • Bleh. I read that wrong obviously. That's a lot of wasted globes!

Because he's a bad ass mother fucker.
  • Sweet baby jesus. Okay, just some simple comments.

A box of wooden parts should really NOT be a main prize from a globe. Not only are carts temporary but frankly it only really interests merchants. It feeks like such a waste of $5.

Why are we getting herbs and comms...with a random vial filled with a random elixir? I can seriously find more herbs after a raid just laying around.

I was actually excited when i got an arte voucher, assuming it was % based. I then check it and it says "good for 25 creds". I can just imagine someone holdig 20 of these...

Seriously, move wooden box to possible secondary items (delete yhe useless small sum of herbs if need be). Additionally can add some actual nice things like lucrescent nuts, humgii tickets or chocolate hearts to secondary items.

    50 globes.

272 credits (highest 25, lowest 14), 91,305 gold sovereigns (lowest 90, highest 4275), 60 coal pieces, 110 pieces of rope, 130 spools of cloth, 60 steel bars, 140 wood commodities, 284 bloodroot leaves, 157 ginseng roots, 217 goldenseal roots, 250 sileris berries (lowest # plants 11, highest 30), 240 artefact upgrade credits, 50 oaken vial (with 900 mending, 1140 mana, 300 health, 240 speed, 420 restoration, 300 health), 13 talisman caches, 4 wooden crates, 5 artefact discount vouchers, 8 glazed runic vial (with 112 sips of lucky), a book of betting tickets for the Humgii Races, a strange pack, a wooden box of parts, and an additional tradeskill slot

I am SO glad I got a box of parts. And the pack. I am trying to decide if I open the caches or sell them. It's probably going to be open them. Ecstatic about the ginseng and sileris as well.

Thanks to everyone who makes the stuff in the globes!

He didn't want people to see his beautiful face, which was possibly more beautiful than everyone else's face. If everyone saw how beautiful he was, they'd have repeatedly heart-stopped to get a glimpse of him.

Also I like the herb/elixir/gold rewards. Frequently flooding the market with the other promo items just devalues them in a game where nearly everything is already devalued. The herbs and elixirs are already a lost cause.

    Lucky SOB. Lol

(OOC clan) Rakkaro says, "You shouldn't be plebs and should have opened a thread in a globe like me."

    Hurai says, "What's a pleb?"

    You say, "Plebeians."

You say, "Commoners. Riff Raff. Rakkaro is too good for us now."

Rakkaro says, "Glad you recognize it."

Rakkaro says, "Crown me your monarch."

Rakkaro says, "But I can mingle with the peasantry occasionally, don't worry."

Rakkaro says, "I'm one of those kings."

  • @Asmodron, if you think Artifact vouchers are bad, try the artifact-upgrade-credits you can ONLY use them when upgrading...  I need to buy a level 1 artifact AND then I can use it to upgrade to a lvl2.
    Happy membrain-joyness..

  • Technically, you can only use the artefact discount vouchers when buying new artefacts. They don't apply to upgrades. Depending on what situation you're in that may be worse.
