Subterfuge

So a game called Subterfuge (http://subterfuge-game.com) was released the other day, and I've gotten a little addicted to it.

It's on Iphone and Android, and is basically a combination of Risk, Galcon, Diplomacy rolled into one.

I ended up paying for the premium version, which means I can host private games, and was wondering if anyone was interested in joining in on a good old Achaean FFA?

    Downloaded it, doing the tutorials. I've been having trouble with the intermediate ones, (especially regarding the option of using the timer in advance). Maybe it'll get better with live play. I'll try it out sometime soon.

    Yeah, getting your head around moving through time and keeping track of what you're trying to do/scheduled to do later can be a pain at times..

    Most of the intermediate puzzles require you to do something fancy with a specialist.  Can be hard to see when you first do them, but once you see it, it makes it easier to see that situation in a full game.

    All you need to do is tell people its a spanner - then hit them with it.

    Then you've got the game sorted out.

    Appeared to be a space in the email field that made the email bad.

    The premium version basically just allows you make your own games, and join ranked games.  Don't think there is any other in-app purchases..none that I've found yet anyway.

    Just created a Achaean only private game.  Just go to http://subterfuge-game.com/play.php?7048-c1aba77ed5dd730a55fb0567668f4ba9 on your phone, and you'll be able to join from there.

    I don't think there is a way to invite people in-game via their username (not that I can find, anyway), which kinda sucks.

    weird, nothing happens. going to bed now, will try again tomorrow. :pleased:

    Just tested with someone locally.  If you go to that link on your phone with the app installed, should just have to click the "join game" link on the page it loads - and it'll open subterfuge and put you into the game.

    If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas :(
