How important is strength?

How much is the "right" amount of strength for a priest. 

I'm an Atavian Sentry with 11 strength and 14 con. I will eventually get Inspiration in Devotion so that will put me at 13. Is that still quite low and I should put a trait into strength? Or is it alright and should buff my con?

Strength is going to affect how hard your Smites hit adventurers/denizens alike. However, you're not inherently going to be a better Priest by having more Strength. Your kill setups aren't damage-centric, so having higher or lower Strength will mainly affect your hunting.

If you can tank well (Priest is one of the better classes for this with their resist and Hands) and have some artefacts to help with damage mitigation, you can go for more Strength.

Otherwise, I recommend Con.

As a priest I suggest going for con early.  If later when you can you can add strength through artefacts.  If you go strength now you then have more risk of dying because con is low and like above most of the priest kill strats aren't strength based.

Thanks! That's really clear. Sadly it's going to be a while until I can afford artefacts and trans healing so I'll go for maxing out my con.
