Belgian beer is the best though.
  • Belgian beer is both the best and the worst! Finding the good ones is like walking a Maze blindfolded! For us foreigners at leas.  ☺

    Hi brave Norway-travellers,

Here are some suggestions for what we can do next weekend. We should have two cars available for cruising around in, so transport is sorted. It would be great if you all send me your time of arrival and departure for the airport.

The weather is a bit unpredictable in this region and will likely influence our choices of things to do. Here is a list of suggestions for what we can do, if you could give me some feedback on what is preferred or not, that would be great.

    1. Sverresborg museum:  http://sverresborg.no/english/ . This is just on the outskirts of Trondheim, historical museum with old buildings and lots of items predated 1900 and a specific ski-museum.

    2. NTNU University museum: http://www.ntnu.edu/web/museum/exhibitions. Museum in Trondheim with a whole range of different aspects - historical as well as scientific.

    3. Taking a day trip further out to Røros: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R%C3%B8ros , which is an old mining town up in the mountains. Very specific old fashion wooden buildings, church and also a 500 meter deep cave (this is part of a tour) http://www.rorosmuseet.no museet_olavsgruva_en/ .

    4. If weather allows it, we plan a barbecue. A lot of places have a beach volley court. If you like alcholic drinks, I strongly recommend that those travelling in from abroad purchase their tax free allowance as alcohol in Norway is highly taxed.

    5. If weather allows it and a lot of people would like to go on a proper woodlands trip, this could be arranged. (something like this: http://www.vestlandsnatur.com/indexfiler/subfiles/jervfjellet.html ). Necessary footwear will be required however, as the ground is often wet (areas of marshlands etc). This would be a bit more exotic as this is not a typical tourist attraction. One of the places we could visit is a small cave that a man used as a place for the resistance during the war. It is possible to spend the night in the cave if we all want a proper woodland experience (there will likely be spiders @Misghul) Alternative or together with the cave is to climb one of the more popular mountains. Please let me know who is interested in this so it can be planned ahead (or if you DON’T want/can to do anything like this).

    6. Other requests and ideas welcome.

Please don't overestimate our weather. Temperatures are likely going to be below 20 C.. (http://www.yr.no/place/Norway/Sør-Trøndelag/Trondheim/Trondheim/ ).

  • My body is ready. I have been following an intense regime of stay-up-until-Dave-says-it's-bedtime for months now. It is too late for me to be a Samurai, but maybe I can still get the Viking trophy-wife longboat before it sails.
  • if rainy - Gocart and bowling!

  • if sunny. barbeque and hiking!

I have the song stuck in my head now and I hate you with the burning fiery passion of a thousand suns because I know it's not going to go away for the rest of forever.
    Huh. Neat.
