Anybody here playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the 3DS? MH4U is by far the best edition of the franchise and Nintendo finally got the online aspect right.

I haven't tried the online yet. Wanted to complete all the caravan quests first. Up to the 5 star quests now. So close to giving up on the gore magala switch axe because I can't get the tail to cut lol. Great game though.

Cutting off tails is a pain by your self because they always aggro you. It's way easier online with a team divvying up parts.

@vayne Yeah I thought about that. Might have to rank myself up in the online mode so I can take on Gore Magala there too. Really want that axe. Can get the tails of most monsters solo, but he moves too much. Might be easier if I bring a defensive spec palico with me.

A good part of fighting the Gore Magala is to stay right behind his hind leg and chop away at the thighs very aggressively. Move a bit and you will probably hit its tail instead.
