I wasn't around - I don't think - during the time customization took off. And if I was, I don't remember.
Can Bard instruments be customized? My Housemates have really sweet instruments, and wanted to know if I was able to customize my own.

Yes, they can be. The instrument in question must be in your possession, then before you can customise it, you'll need to make it non-decay (50cr) before you customise it (50cr). Making it resettable (50cr) is completely optional but if you lose it, you lose it.
