why just truefavours? Highfavour is the type that gives the damage reduction
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Just don't accept challenges for ranked spars from people with favours if you think it will make the difference between you being able to beat them and not?
@Tharvis : Truefavours grant damage reduction too along with added stats if I'm not mistaken(even if the scroll doesn't mention it), hrm.. but yes, high/truefavours.
@Eld : That is a slight inconvenience though, it's hard to be logged in at the same time as a potential opponent sometimes.
I'm still with Eld though. It's hard to draw a general line for what is considered an "unnatural advantage" and what isn't, so I'd rather consider "fairness" for each individual spar and accept/deny accordingly.
If I was up against an unartied low-might newbie who happens to have a truefavour, I wouldn't mind that in the least, for instance. Favours only become an actual problem when they come on top of other boosts like arties, icons, etc.
But then, as an affliction class, an opponent's damage reduction doesn't harm me much anyways. Only the increased strength/int might.
Ranked spars have a large number òf things wrong with them. Its still too easy to game and achaea's nature has it so certain classes are inherently better than others. In the end you just prove how well you pick your fights, how persistent you are and how much you are willing to invest in winning.
