@Anedhel I lose to people that aren't stupid, have more arties and/or higher levels. Yeah I hit hard but with barely 4k health against let's say an artied jester with 7k health (@Seftin) going to be hard to win with just a damage stack.

As I understand it, the probabilities for forging stats are pretty straightforward. Shouldn't be too hard to collect some statistics and see if they pan out as expected.
I've done that slightly (I don't still have any specific data though), the expected probabilities are accurate close to the average stats, but very off at the extremes. So there may be some factor missing from the details Clementius gave years ago, or RNG flaws, or it was just amazing luck in the stats I compared.

Hm, and that was accounting for the weirdness with the relative probabilities updating as you refine?

>_> Or evade every two dsls because im at 10% life

Yes. Karoma and I made a calculator (http://sites.google.com/site/senasharpfang/forging-test) for it, modeling it as a graph to calculate the probabilities (it's been a couple years, so I don't remember the specifics very well).

Right, I know of the calculator (and quote numbers from it from time to time, hence the curiosity about inaccuracies). I was just verifying that what you were referencing was taking that into account because leaving that detail out would seem more likely to throw things off at the extremes.
Here's an excerpt from some of my results when I was Runewarden @Graysonne. You always get speeds at certain breakpoints. 223, 227, 231, 235, 239, 243, etc. Search for 231 in there, or 227. There's 1640something rapiers in that log. See how many meet those levels. And no, that's not anywhere near how many I forged total. That was just that particular excerpt.
I started forging for rapiers the other night. Out of the 20 I made not one was above 200 speed. I think in the long run it'd just be cheaper to switch out of the paladin class. I'm afraid that if I did that the weaponry change would drop and be awesome. Also I wouldn't be able to get into that cool new Targossian house.
You are never going to get anything worth it just making 20 at a time. You need bulk.
Before forging went pretty crappy, I used to do batches of 20 and get 1-2 decent ones of the bunch. @Peak can verify that since he's sold a couple of my rapiers for me.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
If they did change it, I'm just surprised they didn't do it sooner, especially over that relatively long period when there were always several active forgers whose willingness to commit inordinate amounts of time was beyond incredible.

Yeah I realized that pretty early on. When I'm playing a game I like to you know...play the game. Forging is by no leap of the imagination entertaining.

Viva la Bluef.
Average time to make a single rapier = 3 minutes, 16 seconds, and 20 milliseconds x 1644 = 89.5 Hours, continuously.
