It automatically redirects any WTFs you try to make on Targossian users to Strata's latest post instead, truth.
I heard if at least 3 from the Targossas hive-mind are viewing the same thread where I've posted, it will auto-abuse flag instead of WTF.
Since abuse flagging is the right thing to do now when you don't like someone.
Next up: For every 3 abuse flags you click, will automatically in-game ISSUE Strata My city told me I'm not supposed to like this guy. So I'm issuing because that's all I know how to do.
[spoiler]Ah yes, the true purpose of all online forums: anti-socialism.

Actually gonna spoiler the first version of my comment cause this is actually a little more serious to me.
@Bluji, you're widely regarded as a good idea haver, but this is a kind of depressing one. There may be some players in this game who could improve the world a little by deleting themselves, but there's this novel idea called "Learning to cope with other members of your species", no matter how deletable they seem to you.
Just seemed like a surprisingly closed-minded post from you.
I like my steak like I like my Magic cards: mythic rare.
Calling someone closed minded while at the same time saying the world would be better off if some people "deleted themselves" (kill themselves) is pretty retarded.
Not only isn't it possible in these forums, but I wouldn't enable it if it was. This is a community forum site for a game that people are expected to act like adults in. If you consistently don't like what someone writes, do what I do: Don't read their posts. Problem solved!
Allowing stupid people to live despite wanting them dead = open mind. xD
But seriously that was my point. You can disagree or wtf the hell out of them but wanting them deleted/ignored is excessive unless they're personally targeting you, in which case probably a forum mod should be poked. It's a little too anti-community for a forum.
EDIT: In other words, it's preferable in Achaea to have an ignore function since you can't expect someone to be shrubbed for not getting along with you. But in forums you can't just avoid someone so forum-shrubbing/banning is probably the goto route to prevent a toxic poster.

So you're going to perma ban Strata for not following the golden rule, amirite? My finger is really tired from hitting the abuse button. Like it's bruised and swollen. I'm not even kidding.

Well, that's what 'ignoring' them would facilitate: not having to read their posts.
Not that it's an option at all, but why spend all the dev time to do that when you can literally just skip your eyes past the occasional post by that person? It isn't like in-game where someone can push tells at you that you don't otherwise have a choice to ignore. Here, you are pulling the info down. Just don't pull it. Solved!
As an old school forums user, I'd actually be very unlikely to use this. That said, there is what appears to be an extremely user friendly add-on available for admins, per Vanilla Forums' site: http://vanillaforums.org/addon/ignore-plugin

I think it would help the atmosphere of the forum by reducing the temptation to confront a user who annoys or persistently offends you, or to respond to them with snark, hostility, or passive aggression. It's a user-friendliness function that would be well-appreciated as an investment of dev time. Past iterations of Achaea's forums have had this function.

I would be happy with a "force hide" option for posts, allowing you the bury the post as though it had received the proper amount of abuse flags. This way I'm not constantly tempted to tell the people who are wrong on the internet why they're wrong.

This is exactly what I had in mind. This is how it worked on previous versions of the forums: if you had added a person to your block list, their posts would appear, but post contents were hidden, with an option to click and reveal the contents of the post. Just like the mock-up screenshot Rakon posted earlier in this thread.
I am honestly confused that some people find this idea objectionable. Its existence would harm nobody. An ignore function is a staple of most forums and social media sites, as it's the best, easiest way to deal with trolls, creeps etc. The only objection I understand is from Sarapis, that it would be too difficult or time-consuming to code and implement.

This only works if you have moderators which -do- things. Ever since Babel left, it's gone to shit. Read the Ranting Menace lately?
It works completely independently of moderators actually! Trust me, whether there's a moderator or not, you're free to simply skip your eyes right on by someone else's post. Give it a try!
For instance, that's the strategy I take with the entire Ranting Menace, which I certainly have not read lately. I've only visited it three or four times, and immediately discovered that the plan for sticking it at the bottom of the forums in a section accurately labeled "The Sewer" that only registered users can read works quite well - it acts as a honeypot for posts that have no or approximately no value, so why bother reading it?

Well no. What I said was that it's not possible in these forums (hosted Vanilla forums) so it's a moot point.
Disagreed with @Kuy and now this entire idea as a result because @Kuy arguments are adorable to read, and depriving the world of them is not worth the benefits thusfar presented.

This sounds really great. But realistically, there are many people here who would utilize the ability to ignore those they don't like to ignore _ALOT_ of people if it were as easy as adding names to a shitlist and then clicking "Ignore All".
It would be very anti-community and if the forums had a function like this, you can bet Cyrene would filter out everyone except their tea buddies, Targossas would filter out everyone except their self-righteous sociopath bipolar skype qashar 2.0 buddies, ashtan would probably not ignore anyone because they are the supposed trolls and griefers, hashan neither because they'd be too complacent to find the ignore feature in their profile settings, eleusis and mhaldor love eachother so they wouldn't ignore anyone but maybe ashtan and cyrene. Do I sound like an idiot yet?
There are plenty of 1-player PVE RPG-like mindless-hunting games that don't have any related forums so you don't have to talk to anyone but yourself and how awesome you are bashing in some dungeon by your lonesome. GO DO THAT.
Everyone who WTF's/Abuse flags this is a proponent of said feature and should be put on government watchlists: _________________________________________________________xD_____________
*cough* from Vanilla Forums' notes on the downloadable plugin to add the ignore feature: "Administrators are able to revoke access to the ignore feature on a per-user basis in case of abuse, and ignore list length is able to be limited on the global scale. Administrators cannot be ignored".
Probably the same way the Ignore feature gets abused in game.

Click that.
I'm on my phone or I'd make a Mufasa img macro.

Ignored.
