Ocean fishing

Currently we can fish in rivers and in lakes. Wouldn't it be great if we could also fish in the ocean, in those areas where kelp grows? Sitting on a beach, or with our feet in the shallows... This would be with the same simple fishing pole, and with the same bait that is sold at the fishing sheds.

If I can make a suggestion, using fish we already can hunt in oceanic areas, and staying in the weight ranges of the fishing records:

Using small bait, catch:
- A bleeding salt water cod (4 pounds, 6 ounces)
- A black sea bass (8 pounds)

Using medium bait, catch:
- A sea carp (25 pounds)
- A giant Eastern flounder (25 pounds)

Using large bait, catch:
- A barracuda (37 pounds)
- A rainbow grouper (50 pounds)

If I can suggest other fish, possibly:
- Herring (can already be bought and consumed in game)
- Pufferfish (can already be bought and consumed in game)
- Mackerel

These fish could be sold to Craden and companions, cooked for the ship crew members and would be tracked on the fishing records.

At first I thought you'd somehow completely missed the existence of deepsea fishing, but then I realised you were using "ocean" more littorally.

To be clear, is this suggesting a deepsea equivalent to be used off ships? Or to add more simple fish to ocean areas? I don't understand.

@Xith This would be the variant to lake or river fishing. There are plenty sea and beach areas that have the potential for fishing with a simple fishing pole. Lake fishing has its own fish, river fishing has its own fish, sea/ocean fishing would have its own fish as well. It is not deepsea, but coastal or in shallows. For example in the sea at Tasur'ke or Polyargos, Isle of New Hope or Shastaan.
