When someone transforms into a dragon, they will forget the racial language of their lesser form. As dragons retain the knowledge of the other languages learned, would it not make sense to recall that language as well?
racial language is inherited by birth in Achaea. Yes, it can be learned, but if you didn't commit to the lessons, then changing into a Dragon (a racial change) will cause lose your racial language. There's a give and take here. Consequence regardless of how minor. If you want to maintain your lesserform language then invest the gold into the lessons.

Reincarnating throws a wrench in the concept, but yes, I agree with the premise. You can throw lessons into it even though it's 'native' - if it's important to you, do so. I have an alt that went from atavian to troll, and I spent the gold/lessons learning atavian before changing, for that reason.
