So, here's a thread for me to ask inane questions about Mudlet.

First, how do I make it so mudlet won't send a line that starts with a single quote?

I don't want to use 'say' or ' at all, I was hoping for an easy out, rather than self-control.

If you just don't want anything whatsoever to happen when you try to use SAY or a single quote, you can just make an alias that matches those and does nothing. The pattern 

   ^(say|'|")

should do it. Just leave the substitution and script boxes empty.
