Nah we totally had that without them moving guards onto us. Fuckin guards ugh. Whatev. Our raid was better!
Fact they had to walk guards to "win" shows you the quality of their defense. Definite point for Ashtan.
I concur. However, it is a slight disappointment we didn't get to see worldburn, font stack, and cataclysm added to that. Though I suppose @Davio can chime in at any moment now and explain their rationale behind this... Here let me preview it: "We didn't have enough competent defenders."

Hey! I resemble that statement.
I would post my log where I was trying to attack "st rata" but really I think yours already summed up my contribution to that fight.
They called for help during a raid defense? Gasp. What was your defence for pit? "Just using the skills at our disposal, it'll get nerfed sooner or later."
The obvious answer is to delete guards and stop personally attacking the opposite side because they used the skills at their disposal in order to help them win a defense.
Eh, nothing wrong with them using guards in that situation. Their odds were really low for beating us without them, perfectly fine to add guards to their side to change the %s. I think the numbers were really close, a few more numbers on Targ's side and a few more regular fighters on ours, but we also had a few really experienced raiders that gave us the edge.
We would have still gotten the room if I'd grabbed and planted a tank earlier, but I didn't realize I needed to until way too late. Oh well, things to fix.
I had fun on both ends of that one!
Cascades of quicksilver light streak across the firmament as the celestial voice of Ourania intones, "Oh Jarrod..."
Wish there could be a fight without palpable bitterness accompanying it. Your group was stronger than ours, I tried a strategy to accommodate for that. Sorry you felt it was lame, but there are things we think are lame, too.

Pit and guards are completely different. Pit had no defense, can be done anywhere (clouds, ships, in city etc.) except UW/Annwyn/Nish. Plus Ashtan could always pick a different spot, most of Targ has no guard coverage but if you go like 50 rooms deep then the odds of rushing probably diminish.
Disregarding whatever actually happened, berating the defense team in an attempt to make them look dumb and feel bad is pretty ridiculous.
You constantly ask why people don't want to fight you. Want to know why? Because this on the forums (and in game) is what happens whenever people actually try to.
You said yourselves that they had no or little chance without guards. Why are you pissing on them for using guards if they needed them? Even if they didn't need them, YOU are the ones raiding. It's not on the defense party to make it fun for you.
Tone this shit down or quit bitching that people don't want to fight you.
The fact that 90% of the Occie nerfs in the past year were self-imposed really makes you look retarded, @Jovolo.
I did not say you didn't advocate their nerf, just that used them up until the nerf despite however "lame" they were. Don't take it so personally because well shit it wasn't even nearly personal, wtf. Calm down.
