Perhaps if your faction qq'd instead of staying logged in overnight while afk then they wouldn't need to guess who's going to defend and who isn't? Or are you and Silas the only ones that do that?

One time Jhui and Hirst jumped me.. and I did fullsense and saw about 10+ People in the area so I kept my cool and stayed out of the safe area waiting for them to come help after I announced in yells that Ashtan was there.. turns out one or two people wasn't afk
I think some of the problem comes from assuming everyone in Targossas' group is equal to everyone in Ashtan's group. It is not just about numbers on a side, it is also about how often those people fight, how many trans skills they have, how many artifacts they have, etc. Your group was composed of people who fight actively a lot (some 1v1, others just in raids), who have all the transcendant skills they could need, and a collectively high amount of artifacts. This is fine, but take a look at that group and tell me which ones fight even a third as much as you or Jhui.
This is not a complaint, just a little reminder there is a lot more to take into consideration than numbers. Jhui and Narcos were really cool when they were fighting 2v5 (and still getting kills). 5v5 would have likely resulted in the opposing side just saying "screw this" and sitting in the safe room. That being said, you guys have usually been pretty reasonable, and I am confused by all of this. I was asleep for all the big raids.
ITT: Targossas waits specifically for most of Ashtan's fighters to qq, and then raids with a group far larger than the defenders. Next day, they forum-whine when Ashtan returns the favour.
Daeir, your scenario is perfectly valid if you assume that Silas announces shooting and actually shoots with the same alias, which is the normal case. However, if Silas triggered off his own PT call to shoot, then all you need is .018 seconds difference in latency between the three people to achieve those timestamps. In fact, if that was the case, either of those three could have been the "announcer" or whatever.
Anyways, not rehashing or arguing or whatever, just wanted to do the maths. I like math
"Oh no, please don't be aggressive I didn't mean anything by it I can't defend myself *nicenessniceness*"
*Person continues being aggressive*

"I lied."
I'm told this is a direct quote from my old Sensei, and I'm inclined to believe it.
101% true. I'm the biggest pacifist I know.
Greatest battles are won without fighting. The rule is to not tell them you're capable of anything. That's what gets the hotheads riled up and into the "challenge accepted" mentality. We've all met that idiot whose first response is "You know karate? So you think you can beat me up?"
[BAM]
"How'd you get your foot in my ear?"
I like my steak like I like my Magic cards: mythic rare.
It's less about the raid itself. Being raided is fine.
Where I'm becoming increasingly concerned is with attitude. I find more and more lately -- and it's been the case for a while, but recently went downhill when Tanris stopped playing -- that there's this extremely toxic attitude coming from Ashtani players.
I'm aware that it's probably coming from my side, too, though I'm unable to see it so I can't really speak on it, and I for one definitely haven't been keeping my cool as well as I ought to be. But it seems like everything is brought up as an attack -- immediately, whenever anything is raised, we start getting insults flying and accusations and a general LOL FUCK OFF U GUYS R MASSIVE HYPOCRITES U GONNA GO DOWN attitude that honestly boggles me. People will rant on clans, but dismiss anything anyone else says as whining, and get almost frighteningly aggressive about it. It almost doesn't seem like raids happen because they're fun, or because people enjoy PK, though I'm sure they do. At times, it seems like raids happen because people genuinely hate us, or at least that's the attitude I get when I try to talk to anyone about it.
For example, I'm well aware that in that raid, it could have been difficult to judge how many people were actually defending. That's fine, fullsense can't tell, and I don't think any of you were in dragon. However, when it was brought up, the first reaction was to just laugh and talk shit about it (granted I lost my cool a little quickly as well), but we honestly did have no people, and the group we rushed with was full of non-coms. Like...
Okay. Kohilo's a noob who's just learned to prop, and Tanaar, Lachlan, Valeo, Eril, and Aldair are pretty much noncoms. I'm not even sure Valeo has curing. Yes, some of these people raid, but the fact of the matter is that skill level and artie-level is extremely low there. (No offence guys...) That leaves Draekar, Silas, Platonus, and myself. I'm going to go ahead and say that even out of our 'combatants', we were pretty outclassed. And that's fine. I rushed anyway because, well, whatever. But it's silly to try to say that group was even, and I think everyone knows that -- Yours was full of artied actual combatants.
Were you upset at us? Sure. Was the raid the night before when everyone left a great idea? Probably not. Was it justified for you to be upset about it? Possibly. However, that raid happened, as this one kind of did, because we also were upset about something. There were a lot of high tempers from being raided twice with all of Ashtan, and no-one really knew what to do with it.
It's largely irrelevant who started what or who's lamer or whether a raid is justified or not. But I don't think anyone really thinks the attitude that's flying around is good for the game, or good for anyone, or good for conflict as a whole. There are always motivations behind people's actions, and I think it's important that players from both sides realize that other players have them, and they aren't always just entirely full of bullshit.
I think you will find that the main reason you received the response you did is because you (and your side) are guilty of doing the exact same thing you were condemning them for. It's a little hard for people to show empathy or take your concern/complaint seriously in such circumstances.
Perhaps I missed it (and I would be more than happy to be corrected and proved wrong about it), but I can't recall Ashtan bringing it up at all (or at least not to the same extent Teargossas has). The few times I have seen them say anything is in response to you guys saying something, for example in your log.
It happens a lot on FV and Warriors. I just don't usually post it.
EDIT: I mean, I could grep for logs, but that's not really the point. Proof or whatever about whose side does it or whether they do or not is kind of missing the point here, isn't it? It's the same thing that causes all this hate.
I think the problem here is your counting Ashtan as a whole instead of individual people.
While I find most of the Ashtani to be completely retarded and mostly utter jackasses, Tanris, Sohl, Mizik, Jhui, Yiwen (New ashtani but whatevs) Have all seemed to be pretty cool and decent people.
On the other hand there's no reason to complain about Artifacts someone has, or classes someone has in raids (besides occultists as f them), or even how many people they have. Yes it's lame to walk out of a safezone and get choked three or four times to death but it just kinda makes you look like hashan.. and no one wants to be hashan.. not even hashan.
