Simple problem, simple idea to fix it.
Currently either the owner or a captain may remove a ship from drydock. However, only the owner can put a ship into drydock. This creates a situation where if the owner of a ship is dormant, one of the captains is able to remove a ship from drydock but then unable to put it back into drydock. This creates various frustration where a person can feel obligated to tend to a ship daily and pay the fees for up to 24 real-life days until it automatically drydocks itself. Thus, my idea is to simply allow captains of a ship to also have the authority to drydock a ship. Removing a ship from drydocking is already a much larger liability than placing one in it, thus it makes sense that if someone can remove a ship from drydock, that they would be able to place it back into drydock.
In addition, I would propose that a message be put into place that is sent to the owner of the ship: "Your ship has been placed into drydock by ______" to prevent any abuse from Captains of the ship. Also, there should be a message to the owner in the same vein for when a captain removes a ship from drydock(already possible with current system).
This shouldn't create any problems or conflicts of interest, since the owner of the ship must specify the captains as people they trust to use the ship. The owner can simply remove others from the Captain list if they don't want their ship used without their oversight.
Implement this idea. Thanks.
