plus if Zadkiel issues, she'll probably get herself shrubbed by being caught using a full-auto bashing script and fishing script
oops did I just post this to the forums woopsie my bad
For my birthday my brother surprised me by ordering a custom mini (from Hero Forge) and painted it himself.
I have an Akri mini!
While I agree that hiring should be the first attempted option (even if the expectation of completion on someone like Proficy seems slim), I think a situation like that is extreme enough (given this is exactly how it went down and details aren't being left out) to warrant skipping an attempt to hire.
Hiring is always an option, but mainly for deaths that happen even if the aggressor has a reason to kill the individual. Like if she had insulted him or told him to sod off and he killed her, she'd still be well within expectations to be able to hire.
Killing someone simply for the sake of doing something that annoys you, without any real provocation, seems to circumvent any RP based justification or recourse, in which case I think Issuing would be fine. It means that the behaviour has been reviewed, is on record, and were it to become a trend would allow for it to be dealt with appropriately.
The built in consequences of your actions, I'm told it makes the game feel more alive!
After a long time away, I'm of a mind that a good novice program teaches players how to play the *game*, while offering a glimpse into house flavor. In the past, I think novice programs tended to focus on introducing new players to the House first, establishing house expectations and assigning house-related tasks, but Achaea is so much more complex than it used to be, with so many subsystems and underlying mechanics to understand, it's pretty intimidating.
Give novices an overview of what house they just joined, maybe a taste of what "full members" do, but I think novices should mainly get walkthroughs of server side curing, the renown system, buying house credits, how Battlerage works, and similar obscure-but-necessary bits of Achaean life before they get saddled with many House-specific tasks. Maybe that's just me feeling overwhelmed as an oldbie.
I remember, during my time in the Sentinels, hunting with Rahum as I usually did, and letting Alyssea tag along because she was new, and fascinated about everything. She'd hank me out of rooms during important meetings, and soft lock me if I had to use the bathroom, but it was adorable because Rahum and I knew she genuinely enjoyed the mischief.
I remember about four years ago, when Roland and Elise stopped by my work to visit the first time and I made both of them subs, and we hung out after work, eventually getting buzzed off cheap beer back at my house where we talked about all the things we loved about Achaea.
I remember many times talking to Elise over the phone, feeling like a proud parent because she came to me for advice.
I remember how excited Roland was for me when I got my new computer last February, and how the both of them begged me for pictures when I was in Alaska.
There's a lot to remember with a smile.
For nearly a month Alyssea followed me nearly everywhere when her dad was away for work.
Seems like so long ago now. It's so nice reading about everyone's memories. It brings a smile where one is sorely needed.
It doesn't do it natively except to default to the kill command.
I've been handling this by manually setting the keneanungki serverside alias to my current attack combination for the class I'm using.
What I'm trying to setup is something fancier - a nexus reflex alias that determines my class and sends the proper attack commands, and then setting the keneanungki alias to that. I haven't finished this solution yet though.
