The vortex math approach goes out the window when Achaean tarot doesn't follow real-life tarot numbers. All I can say is, our Achaean life is a Matrix cube powered by 5G, and it's a rabbit hole I don't have enough coffee to continue. Do your own research, sheeple.

Faffing about, experimenting and sciencing aggressively, resulting in an explosion and unfortunate release of rat golems:

A resounding boom echoes from the subdivision as a pillar of multi-coloured flame erupts from the premises of Ashaela & Darke, followed by a column of thick black smoke.

A rising chittering precedes an especially loud crack through the air as a horde of rats escape from the Ashaela & Darke compound, congealing into massive humanoid shapes that lumber away towards the sewers.

Suddenly..

A chorus of deafening squeaks echoes from the sewer grates, followed by the unsettling sucking sound of dozens of giant leeches feasting on hapless masses of rats.

It's time to put the bookend on an idea I had during a manic episode three years ago. So last October I was given an opportunity to basically have as much overtime as I could handle. I got my pharmacy tech license during a pandemic. I've given about 350 vaccines now! Which I think I am far more proud of than I would be having a super fancy staff.

Achaea had to take a backseat, but I also was in no way prepared to make a serious attempt at the staff. There is a litany of reasons why, but that's just avoiding my own lack of motivation and follow-through. I made a good start, and have done things with Augtavian I've never accomplished before.

I still think the cost of Artefacts is bullshit, and I still think whales ruin the game (especially when all the whales decide to join the same city during a conflict...but that's no reflection on what's going on currently...) Buuuuuut whales also keep the game paid for soooooooo.

I had considered not making this post, retiring Augtavian and just moving on to the next character like I've done too many times before. Keeping with doing things with this character that I've never done before, I'm going to stick it out and keep trying. Maybe Augtavian will dye his hair and buy a new sports car.
