Graduate school is progressing smoothly! This was a 30-page character analysis of Catherine Morland from Northanger Abbey. I walked away with a 95 in the class!
I've never been a very good student, but since grad school started last January I've been more stressed about grades and am generally caring more. This class was grueling because we had to read Jane Austen's entire oeuvre in 5 weeks as well as write 5-page papers about each one, followed by this 30-pager final. Whew!
Officially lost all of the scale weight I gained while pregnant. Centimeters are starting to fall off as well, making it much easier to fit into older, more comfortable, clothing.
My daughter has nearly doubled in her own growth over the last couple of months, making her actually look like a toddler. Family doctor notes the dwarfism gene that affects my height has affected her as well, but only time will tell just how much.
My father and his wife finally bought a house, it's down the street from me, and we have to wait till closing before I can tell them to GTFO. But I can say my house is mine again after that.

So my monitor died about a week ago or so. It was kind of working, but it was shutting itself off constantly after you hit the power button.
I was able to borrow a monitor, but then I got a surprise from my SO:
An ultrawide 29" monitor. This thing is amazingly amazing. I was beyond surprised and am so very happy with it. Now to re-do my GUI and make things fit.

My family is made up of big time car enthusiasts, and my son is, by far, the biggest enthusiast of us all. He saw a car for sale for and asked if he could buy it with birthday/holiday money he had been saving. He wanted to fix it up and then have it for when he can drive. I said no way for multiple reasons, the two biggest being it was going to sit for a long time, and I felt there were better things he could do with his money. Time passed, the price kept dropping, and to make a long story short, I finally gave in, and he got the car for $600.
I drove it home for him. He scrubbed it clean and asked if he could have the extra set of aluminum wheels and wider tires we had in the garage. We put them on for him, and then it sat for a good while. The other day he decided he wanted to try to sell it. So I got him a for sale sign, asked him what he wanted to sell it for ($2800 ..whaaaa? ok.) and drove it down to the edge of our property.
About 4 days later, it sold for $2500. My kid just flipped his first car.
I passed my first tip test in Taekwondo tonight! Even got a commondation from the schools Master for getting down some kicks that are a few belts higher. I'm so happy!

Good man! Next stop Olympics 2020
He is a coward who has to bring two friends as backup to jump people hunting.
Rave for last week of my second trimester! (for some silly reason my university does three semesters a year, which DOES mean i get my degree in two years instead of three, but it also means more work )
Having a weekend of garage sales. Made about $200 in one day (slow too). Only told one person to bugger off my lawn. (He wanted everything for $20... Not each, the whole lot.) Still let him get away with more than I should have.
got a wicked sunburn, but $200 is $200 closer to getting the wiring fix paid off and a new fridge that doesn't smell like grandma may have been stored in it at some point (thrifting hazard). Yay!

I like how you're raving about how terrible it is.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Back in the day I would make a lot of music. Tried making my money doing it and failed pretty hard, so I gave it up. Recently it started itching again. We got some of the old guys together and tried our hands at it with this result.
None if this was done in a studio with professional audio guys. All in my own living room. Hope you don't hear carrot barking.
