  I went for a lovecraftian inspired name, I didn't know until later that banned players get 'shrubbed'. Now I feel a little silly.

  There was a player, Shub Niggurath back in the day.  Pretty sure his actual name was Niggurath and Shub was his prefix.  I just assumed you were his alt because seriously... Shub?  2 people in the 20 years I've played have used that name.

  I'm not an alt, I've found that it surprises some folks that I'm genuinely new, so here's the full disclosure:
  
  I had a rogue magi somewhere around the year 2001 that never made it out of the newbie area before I abandoned it. A year or two later I made another one in Shallam and got as far as the guild hall, at that point the equipment and exploration requirements felt too overwhelming and I left again. I remember someone named Kitt swearing in at a city gate, that oath was a list of various factions in the world and I was required to declare that I was loyal to the city above all of those before they let me in the magi guild. I also remember there was a city with war witches as guards that had silly reactions when you hugged them, and another city was under martial law and covered in grafiti which I thought was pretty cool. That character only lasted a couple weeks, I never made any credit purchases on it and now he's long gone. His name was Wulfram because I was really into math at the time, another silly name in hidsight. I lost his password and the email account I registered with years ago, I'm pretty sure he has been purged for a very long time.
  
  Apart from that I had a Cyrenian blademaster for about a week before I made Shub. I dropped him because I decided that I enjoyed Alchemist and Targossas more.
  
  I joined a few months ago because I do a lot of command prompt at work and I needed a distraction, mudding blends into the screen without drawing suspicion. I didn't expect it to be this much fun.
