I got 225 for the sceptre, 30 for the mandibles, and 130 for the glyph piece. Didn't win anything on the racetrack tickets, almost won 600cr from it, but the guy lost at the last message heh. So far 385 credits for $25 plus everything else I still have
There will always be people like me who buy them, though. I bought one assuming there was supposed to be no tradein value (and the staff isn't worth 2000 credits to me, more like 1000).
I sent you a message IG after I read this thread, don't worry! I'm not about buying pieces for less than their redeem value (unless the person is doing it on purpose to get unbound credits).
@Makarios if I have gold stockings, would it be more worth it for me to hold them until after the 25th to turn them platinum? What is the difference for gold/platinum

I can vouch for this. @Cooper is/has always been pretty fair when it comes to trading stuff. To the point where he has told me I was under-valuing things I was trying to trade for one of his. 10/10 would trade again.
I thought 250 for a sceptrepiece is a good deal, even if it's worth 2000 credits because it has no redeem value, and seriously it's a lot of return for what I have invested and compared to the other promotions over the last months.

The stockings look pretty tempting, but I'm not sure what kind I should go for. Would 5 grand (with the bonus gold/platinum) be a better choice than 1-2 extravagant?

My experience with extravagant was disappointing. Asked a few, they felt the same. Lower tiers seem to do better as they have lower downside risk.

Yeah I was very disappointed with the 6 extravagant I got, wouldn't buy those again. But was pretty happy overall with the tier 1 stockings. Went back for more groups of 10 multiple times on tier 1 because payout was worth.

What did you feel was a let down about the extravagant stockings? We'd love to improve these if there is something specific that people find causes them to be less desirable than other tiers. I was pondering making them yield higher than two pieces to offset the ability to brute force with lower stocking tiers, but I'd be interested in the thoughts from people who bought these.

That's exactly what I expected, frankly... The RNG to drop lower pieces and that hurts a lot. Currently, low end stockings has close to zero downside, with all happy upsides, while buying higher tiers feel like gambling. So the higher tier you go, the more downside risk you gonna take on.
If extravagant pool is constrained to drops only from higher sets, like harness, tank, sceptre, glyphs, it'd be much better... I got a garash piece off an extravagant and was like, ouch, I can buy entire garash set with the same money.
I think the RNG of a constrained list of high end sets are still going to work out nicely, return, profit and flavour wise, can increase circulation, and people going for these sets are going to just stick with extravagant too... Just my pov

@Makarios Same. I was hoping it would drop more than two but I was under no illusions it would. I just felt personally on my small sample size of 6 the value was far lower with only 2 pieces.
Compare Cost: 1 extravagant = 2 pieces + some stuff (most likely a nice low arty or two) vs 25 logosmas = 30 pieces (counting gold/plat) + 25 grab bags of stuff thats going to be => than the arty or two you get from the 1 extravagant. Plus with the gold/plat assuming higher tier talismans kinda makes this a no brainer value wise?
@Makarios the reason I went for more and more of the low stockings was just as you stated I can brute force getting pieces I actually want, or that can be traded.
I imagine part of the issue for some of us is, while it's true that the more expensive stockings yield better non-talisman items, that generally doesn't help me. Either I don't want the item, or I already have it, and I am limited to only redeeming it for bound credits. If these artefacts were in a bag, and I could market them for something I did want that would greatly increase the high end stockings value.
