I think it was temporarily bugged to allow people to fly over and walk on the red patches (couldn't go into the blue, I tried). So we all got to kind of explore out in a way we hadn't before, and good lord, we were all giggling in glee.
Alas we can't now, but it was a pretty awesome little temporary thing!
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
also, the Emissaries are just killing everybody now.
All Mhaldorians, maybe.
Nah, they hit Asmodron and Farrah a few times.
Just Water. Water was pissed at everyone. The others don't seem to attack anyone but Mhaldor. I got killed by Fire once because room attacks. Walked in while it was killing Aegoth.
Yeah, tried talking to the others to no avail, so figured I'd try talking to Water to see what could be done to help. There is a nice golden dragon splatter painting around her chambers now.
It's amazing that the admins are willing to roll with a crazy plan like "Let's corrupt a conduit with Evil!", and put so much thought in it. I was pretty sure it wouldn't be possible to actually turn the Sorceress to evil, but it was a great way to get Mhaldor involved and doing things. A lot of us went seamonster hunting for the empowerment ritual, we bashed elementals and other sea critters to sacrifice. There was a lot of involvement where we otherwise wouldn't have done much.
Now not only did we get to participate in the event, we had a very tangible and (presumably) permanent effect on the world. Huge raves to the admins for rolling with crazy ideas!
Hoping that the UPCOMING event will be scheduled earlier than some of the others demographics can get in on the fun (Evening workers like me and the UK)!
Other than that, nothing but raves for this event. It's been fun to watch!
Is anyone else experiencing their wielded items *POOF*ing while fighting stuff in Ygg (if they're not fist sigiled)? I've gone through a bunch of cheap weapons/shields that have disappeared into thin air -- they're not dropping on the ground, they go missing entirely.
I feel like there is a bug going on -- even if not fist sigiled, weapons/shields should just become unwielded at worst, right?

"We heard you guys complaining about smithing not being needed. In this new update we've included the random chance for you to misplace your items, causing them to vanish from your inventory. This idea is similar to the real world problem of your keys never being where you left them. Cheers!"
oh my god shoutsoff blocks denizen shouts? @Nicola@Makarios@Rhivona@Ictinus@Silas plz plz plz fix, I really don't want to have to listen to less immersive shouts during events.

I've picked up so many shields/swords laying around the tree from people. Even picked up an l3 scimitar once. Not sure how you don't notice you lost that...
For those that were not present to see the Earth conduit Bataoac be once again bonded to Garash (and which culminated with the Tash'la race being made accessible):
The earth-shaking roars of Bataoac still, leaving a
deathly silence to descend upon the Dardanic Grasslands.
For the briefest of moments do the Earthen Elementals
fall insensate as with a resounding tremor, racing through the ground in
tumultuous portent, the Northern Giant is renewed, bonded once more with the
unyielding will of Garash.
A rumble echoes from deep within Bataoac's mountainous
form.
Building into a resounding, earth-shattering series of
tremors, all Sapience and beyond shudders, Achaea trembling as one as the
Northern Giant begins to turn, ground shaking beneath his feet.
Buried under a collapsing overhang, a small
village boy perishes beneath tons of rock.
An Orillan woman shrieks in terror as the earth
cracks open beneath her feet, crushing her within its closing confines.
Attempting to outrun an unforeseen avalanche, a
rugged explorer has been flattened beneath ice and snow on the slopes of Mount
Nicator.
A xorani villager has been slain by the weight
of falling timber, torn free from its moorings by the tremors of Bataoac.
A screech of pain echoes from a silver malagma
as it is lost forever to the rumbling earth.
Hurled from his high perch by the tremors, a
Tsol'dasi astronomer has seen his last sunrise.
Roars of fury rise from Jeramun, Flame of the World,
coruscating pillars of fire surrounding the figure of Bataoac to no response,
unable to ascend beyond the mighty conduit's waist.
With the unstoppable inevitability of Garash himself,
the Northern Giant continues to straighten, each shift of his immense feet
sending a second wave of earthquakes racing through the mantle of the world as
he slowly, ponderously, turns toward the north.
The otherwise unending meditations of a
reclusive mystic have been ended, his rocky pinnacle disintegrating beneath
him.
The braying of terrified mules reaches your ears
as a merchant convoy is swept from the mountain trails by the rumbling earth.
Struggling to shield her children from the
roiling earth, a village woman and her family have been crushed beneath the
collapsing walls of their hillward home.
A trio of rock-climbers have fallen to their
deaths, hurled free of their precarious position.
The great foot of Bataoac lifts free from the soil
surrounding Bitterfork, the titanic depression left in the wake of its passing
slowly filling with seepage from the nearby river.
Taking first one ponderous step, then another, the
Northern Giant's titanic foot lands squarely upon the Darkenwood, splintering
trees and soil alike.
The shrieks of Arachnoi echo in the depths of
your mind, crushed by the mighty strides of the Northern Giant.
Bataoac's monstrous stride continues, moving towards
the north and Anake's Elbow. With a tremendous, earth-shattering roar, he comes
to rest beside Titan's Stairway, unmoving as he gazes towards the distant
mountains.
Once more the ground shakes beneath the feet of
Bataoac, moving beyond the Stairway and towards the great gulf.
Even the ocean proves no impediment to the Northern
Giant, barely reaching his knee at their highest as he storms through,
unfaltering before the pitiful water.
A scream of terror rises as boats piloted by
Kamleikan fishermen overturn, condemning their crews to death within the icy
northern waters.
Rising forth from the sea, its waters whimpering and
small beneath the conduit's mountainous frame, Bataoac comes to a shuddering
halt upon the borders of the Tundra, his gaze fixed upon the distant pinnacles
of his resting place.
Once more the earth trembles, leaving you staggering
before the footsteps of Bataoac as the conduit begins to move.
Ice cracks beneath each stride, avalanches rocking the
nearby mountains as the Northern Giant returns to stand once more a silent
sentry over the tundran snow, Sapience continuing its shudder in his wake as
the titanic conduit at last returns home.

I think Ulghoch may be my new favorite denizen. Earth listens.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

The City of Mhaldor resounds, "Bitch we might be."
Dunn tells you, "I hate you."
(Party): You say, "Bad plan coming right up."

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.
Unbound fury resonates across the Northern Wilderness, the fires of Jeramun twisted into a new blaze
The World Fire's anger momentarily rises towards the firmament in a haze of crimson flame, a beacon
A shifting cloud of sooty smog billows upwards from the Northern Wilderness as the Flame of the
Swirls and eddies of purple mist sweep across the city streets and curl around your ankles, its
A streak of flame tracks the unbound, enraged conduit, a primitive, anguished kinship drawing
Radiant flame falls across tundran ice and the high mountains of the Istar Jungle, alight with fire
Fire arises, all of the Vents of Hthrak trembling beneath the stultifying presence of Jeramun, Flame
The unloosed World's Flame rampages, the Vents shaking beneath rampaging tendrils of primalistic,
With a final howl of fury, a tremendous detonation ripples forth from the magma caverns, spilling
