i'm new to the fourms and I have a question about fishing. I'm a returning player and I was wondering why I can't seem to hook a fish on a strike. It's been almost an hour and I haven't gotten a single fish, is that normal?

    No, it isn't. If you are riverfishing, make sure the area isn't fished out, that you are using a regular pole and not a deepsea pole, and check your bait. Is it still on the hook? Bait can decay while on the hook...

    i'm using a simple pole,  it has lots of fish, and i'm using carp bait. I think my timing might be off? i'm not sure. Thank you!

    Carp bait is for sea fishing. That's why you can't get a fish!

    Use clams, shrimps or crabs for river and lake.
