We'll be adding in per-slot racial specialisations soon!
This is so awesome. My only concern is how it will work with gem if we reincarnate and then switch to our secondary class. Will the spec reset on there or will it just convert to the new races spec. Either is fine, just curious.

Will remain the same, but if you specced dex on your secondary, you'll stay specced dex.
If I have a ranger's bow with shooting addon (so sylvan can use it) and just want to upgrade the bow to, say, Lupine but don't care if sylvan can use it, is that possible? Or is shooting "attached permanently" and thus requires the upgraded amounts alongside?

I'd suggest e-mailing artefacts@achaea.com to find out. If it is possible you'd probably have to e-mail them anyway to make it happen.
Do tell, please. I like to read those to sate myself while I save for my second class
sendGMCP([[Char.Skills.Get {"group":"subterfuge","name":"phase"}]]) sends the GMCP event to request info. Server returns a Char.Skills.Info event, a là:
{
group = "subterfuge",
skill = "phase",
info = [[
*** You have not yet learned this ability ***
Syntax:
PHASE
UNPHASE
Extra Information:
Unphase cooldown: 6.00 seconds of equilibrium.
Works on/against:
Self
Cooldown:
4.00 seconds of balance
Resource:
100 mana
Details:
This is probably the most effective concealment ability there is. While phased, you will be
hidden from all mortal adventurers, aside from other phased ones. You will, further, be unable
to interact with items, denizens, or unphased adventurers. The caveat here is that you may try
to attack an unphased adventurer, which will automatically unphase you. Thus, phase can be
used as an effective aid to assassinations.
Be warned that you will lose endurance rather quickly while phased.]]

I don't know of a way to get the list of abilities for each skill other than parsing the output of HELP SKILLNAME.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the October promotion to be revealed tonight will be a Lesson Sale promo, even better if it's bundled with another benefit like this month's crown/credit sale promo was.
Edit: @Sarapis , @Tecton : any chance future Lesson Sale promos could have a 15,000 lesson option as the largest, rather than 10,000? For people going for 5+ classes this would be a better fit, though I admit I myself can't do that much this month.

Since promotions are IRE wide, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Everyone didn't get multiclass at the same time, sadly. I would hesitate to say that we make up the majority of purchases though, so it's possible!
@Eld Sending the same GMCP request with just a group, not a name, should return the list of abilities in gmcp.Char.Skills.List.list and the accompanying descriptions (i.e. the text on the AB <skill> list, not the full AB info) in gmcp.Char.Skills.List.descs.

Ah, right. I checked that AB SKILL still didn't give you the list for skills you don't have, but forgot to check whether you could get them directly via the GMCP request.

From my own experience, no, it's not permanently attached. I bought L1 when I was Occie/Dragon for meteor functionality, then went Serp/Dragon and dropped shooting to lower the cost to upgrade to L3, forsaking bow usage in dragonform.
No, I think you have to pay the difference for SHOOT add-on, too, if you want to keep it on a higher level bow.
So to get from a Level 1 w/ shoot (250 + 100), to a Level 3 w/ shoot (1000 + 500), you pay the 750 bow difference AND the 400 shoot difference.
I think in Lothien's example, if he wants to upgrade from Level 1 to Level 3 and drop his SHOOT add-on, he would only have to pay 1000 - (250 + 100) = 650.

10,000 lessons sales? Where? I thought we only get 2x 1,000 no-brainer lessons deals? HALP.

Once every other other blue moon IRE has a lesson sale as their monthly promotion instead of credit sales, gift bags and the like.

You're unlikely to see those in the future. They always do terribly for us, on all games.

@Sarapis : I am a sad panda bear. :-( I am also a sad Dwarf Foreman, a sad Dwarf Miner and a sad Dwarf Brawler.
Comments
It may be a bit much to ask, but for those of us who chose traits based around the specs we were 'stuck with' - is there any chance of a reset there?
Either way, thanks!

Tanky bastards.
*ducks*
I don't think it'll matter anymore, though, because Lord Sarapis said we're not going to be getting them very much anymore.
