  • Held @Torinn and @Elipise 's wedding. Sang a song I put together w/ the help of @Reymi. Tried to show @Sarflus that its less noisy if he just quaffs his rum. Got sickly drunk. Did a terrible rendition of my other song. Fortunately, other performers stepped to bail out my drunk ass. Then got to watch Torinn show off his new sailing skills, was so proud! Later on took @Naomh seamonster hunting which is the only hunting she likes to do.

Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 101.
You have reached the illustrious level of 5th Heir to Ashaxei's Legacy.

Finally. I died something like 70 times on level 100. Let's not do that again.

#197      Aesgar Tehlu                                 (5th Heir to Ashaxei's Legacy)
#199      Ainly Sar'vet                                (The Dragon Lord)

Also passed the good old Exemplar. Take that @Ainly!
  • Sparred some people, then found a few more problems/possible optimizations with my scythe strategy. I swear I should just simplify it and use an easier method, I'm getting afraid that it's just gonna collapse under its own weight at this rate.
  • @ozmatiah quite a few can say that, damned relic.

    Congrats!

  • Yiwen and Carmain used to gain/lose dragon like 5+ times per day for ages >.>

  • Yiwen fucking retired without saying a word.

    What? No :(

  • Got halfway into 82 today (15%-55%). No longer getting full levels per day. Weep.

Oh well, the percentage is moving in the right direction.

My best day was 95.82 - 96.75 (93%). The two days before that were both over 70%. You can do better!

The nineties are easier to power level through. I hunted some ridiculous percentage of 98 when I'd only planned on doing 20 just to get dragon. You get that close, the motivation is there and it's faster.

With solid bashing, you should still be able to easily enough get 1 level per day up to ~94 or so. After that is when you kinda have to go all out to get a level per day, I personally went 97-99.35 in 1 sitting cause insomnia is fun. I keep saying "never again" but yet I keep doing it in games :(

Not my first 20+ hour long bashing run, probably won't be my last either :(
  • First Friday in december went from 97.35 to 98.38.
    That was a good day.

I went from 82 to 83 in about 5 years, then went back to 81 ando then took another couple years to hit 83 again. My bashing is impeccable.

eta:I don't understand why this keeps logging me in as Mosr. D:<
  • This was like 8 hours of bashing. Perhaps my route is shitty or my IRE elite bonus isn't large enough yet.

Or you're not sick like myself and Aesgar obviously are... My last few weekends before dragon were 16 hour hunts...

    Not realistically.

My goal has been 1% of the way from 90 to 99 a day. (91 is around 9%). Took me about twelve hours of bashing to get from 90 to 91.  So, unless you wanna spend twelve hours, I mean (or if you're fully artied), it's not gonna happen.
    Huh. Neat.

Not sure how you figure, considering I'm quoting my exact experience post-battlerage changes. Unartifacted, 12 strength runewarden (unartifacted, 12 int alchemist up to ~91, for comparison's sake).
Like I've said countless times before to everyone who's asked: If you want to get fast exp, go to places you can fully clear in short amounts of time. 90 minutes to fully clear Moghedu (arbitrary clear speed, just to make a point), you could very likely get more experience in the same time in other places, that have less TTK per mob. In fact, I didn't bother at all with Meropis/Tir/Mog/Azdun/Dun until I got Dragon.

edit: Also go through places that don't tank your health sips/moss/curatives like crazy, and places you don't have to run at all. Time spent running/restocking, is time lost gaining experience.

I agree that people have the wrong understanding when it comes to bashing (i was one of them) and assume that high tier places immediately mean big xp. I honestly am not sure how you were getting a level a day.. Did you bash all day? Ire membership? Profithyst?

I hit remote locations, and later got a ship for islands which gave 30%. This was the only boost i had. It really is true that quicker clears is better overall. I have told several i have found bashing in tir for dragon that they'd be better off elsewhere.

I personally was getting from 10 to 20% in late 80s a day, with about 5 or so hours of bashing. Come 90s, was about 5 to 10%. My last day i did a big push for 20%. Note i was an unartied blademaster during all this.
  • That picture makes the post.

    Unartied blademaster explains everything.
I was doing 1 level a day from 91 - 99 (with even faster speeds during the greathunt).
You just need to pick a pattern and stick with it. It took me on average 10 hours per level, which puts it at 10% an hour. That's with me rotating through all the primary areas, keeping back-up secondary areas (in case the primary areas are taken), and randomly visiting tertiary areas once every 1-2 RL days to maximize experience.

Note that I was a level 3 lash/17 dex serpent with a level 2 pendant and a spatter of health arties. Also was stocked on dex minerals, had a vial of lucky / pixie elixir, and used profityst whenever I was sure I could get a full hour of uninterrupted bashing.
