Be enemied doesn't automatically mean they're gonna hunt you down. Historically if you've gotten enemied to the City, you get enemied to their Divine, too. It's been that way for as long as I can remember, and vice-versa.
When you had your shitfit at the Wheel then went from City to City looking for a new home weren't you attacked in Mhaldor at one point because you were walking around the lower ring of Mhaldor and had to be told to get out? I mean you were lucky you weren't enemied the first time, but Mhaldor doesn't make it very unclear that people are only to go to their gates if they've asked permission or have a meeting point to be escorted. Not that I exactly agree with either side but you definitely know better, and I am certain there'd be better places you could of dealt with this novice. Hindsight is 20/20 but I don't exactly feel sorry for you, nor do I agree with Mhaldor's actions.
What happened to me today: Nothing. Still finding the willpower to log into Aquil.
Ohhh, my bad in that case. In Aet, it usually carries a death sentence.
If you've already died they're not going to go further. It just means now you can't step into their City now pretty much, and it makes things harder to get unenemied! But you seem to be doing fine in Ashtan, so shouldn't be a worry for you. :P
I cut off the log after that, but we spent the next 5-10 minutes making sure he knew where to buy stuff, getting him in the clan, letting him know how to ask questions, and making sure he had nothing further he needed to know about that moment. He's in good hands! Mhaldor takes good care of our novices, just sometimes they might not reach out to us right away. We always try to encourage that as soon as possible.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Got asked to do a Synthesis order to fill someone's rift (2500 of each mineral). Gave a price, said I'd look into the time a bit. Figured it would take me a week, maybe two, of synthesis and extracting in-between bashing and such.
Then I did the rest of the numbers.
51250 sulphur 40000 salt 25000 mercury
For a full rift. Now, I know 2500 is more than anyone may realistically need at a single time and reflects several months worth of minerals (even a week or two of potash). Now, I am not complaining about the AMOUNT of primes, or even the TIME. What has me going apeshit?
WHY DO PEOPLE CHARGE SO FUCKING LITTLE FOR MINERALS WHEN A FULL RIFT IS THAT MANY PRIMES?
I feel like I am swindeling myself charging as little as 7 gold per mineral when I think about how much work would go into filling that rift. Suppose I'll just keep to filling my own rift and harvesting primes after bashing the graveyard.

Because someone set an arbitrary price when alchemists came about, and enough people auto-extract for hours on end while working on other things/reading/watching netflix/whatever to actually supply a majority of the demand for minerals at 5-7 per.

That's great. Wish I'd played during busy hours to get the real feel
Welp, it's my 400th birthday and unbeknownst to me there was a present planned:
The Dawyn Conservatory (indoors).
Glass walls built into the shape an emerald-cut gem offer a curious and unique design to this serene space, redbud trees in eternal bloom welcoming visitors at every juncture. Soaring into the sky, a hipped ceiling allows sunlight to stream in without overheating groups large or small. Meticulously pruned boxwood hedges form an ornate pattern of flower beds throughout the majority of the floor; asters, daffodils, hyacinths, chrysanthemums, echinacea, daisies, and lenten roses are planted in careful concentric circles. Blooming in vibrant waves in sequence with the seasons, the flora keeps the greenhouse full of colour and fragrance as well as attracting small birds and butterflies year-round. Standing proud in the centre of the hedged beds a catalpa tree flutters its large, heart-shaped leaves languidly while candelabras of trumpet-shaped blooms perfume the surroundings with its sweet and heady scent. Tucked under large swags of purple clematis, seating in various sizes dot the edges of the conservatory offering semi-private spots for an individual to relax. In contrast to the whimsical nature of the smaller seats, a large oak bench circles the central tree adding a touch of urbanism to the verdant area. Exhibiting a silken elegance, a cloud-shaped catalpa tree rises gracefully overhead. You see a single exit leading out.
Thank you so much Ophilia @Lisbethae and @Nicca and @Prospero (Prosperbro) for this, it's really amazing. Somehow all of my favourite things. You're wonderful. Also just to all the Cyrenians who attended and gave me well-wishes, well, you're all just amazing. Even the ones who did not or could not attend are amazing.
@aquil wtf are you talking about? What is the wheel?
I think she's talking about where you had a meltdown at Prydwyn (and Valkyn?) at the casino wheel in Thera. And also at Frederich too apparently. You're really into meltdowns aren't you?
You know... coming here and being spiteful while saying that Mhaldorians are mean and malicious (and whatever other descriptor you used @Qwyn) is kind of amusing.
For one, it's Mhaldor, which isn't known for breeding the warm fuzzies and *phuggles!!!!* like Cyrene or Loosis. I was standing right there. @Israyhl said something to you about being in Mhaldor and you ignored it. Mhaldor doesn't advertise any of their shops on Market like most other cities and it's pretty common sense that it's not a hang out. Plus, it should be pretty common knowledge that Mhaldor doesn't allow "guests" without an escort. The GATES OF MHALDOR are still... wait for it... part of, you guessed it, Mhaldor!
If you had stopped just outside of the gates with said newbie and done your helping I don't think it'd have been as much of an issue (aside from the belief of poaching attempts by some but I'm not going to say you were or weren't on that front).
Clearly Mhaldor needs to make a public service announcement that no one is allowed in the city without first obtaining an escort. Though realistically, being told to leave should be all it takes. Plus, you said you got disconnected but you started praying -immediately- after you died. That just doesn't happen...
I was helping an Eleusian novice earlier but I didn't take him to Eleusis. That wouldn't have been very well received. Helping new blood in Achaea is awesome and commendable because we should ALL be doing things to help people learn their way around a foreign game that we all love and sometimes tear our hair out at.
Buuuut yeah. Cursing at someone in tells instead of explaining what supposedly happened and then coming to the forums to cry about the whole ordeal is kinda silly.
Rip selling moss for like 100 gold per and knowing all the natural underground locations the average pleb didn't for massive moss intake
What about the days of 500+ gold per bloodroot?
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."
I wasn't gonna say anything, but I have to include the fact that you (@Qwyn) freaked out at me for a misunderstanding, too. I will grant that I was in the wrong, but the level to which it went was not really necessary.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

Holy balls, every duel would leave you broke as fuck.
One strategy was indeed to loop curare until your opponent ran out.

It is a shame to see newbie assistance treated with such actions. Perhaps the bigger question here is not why mhaldor decided to go full pk rp on the basis someone was trying to poach their novice (which, let's face it, was your original thought when you saw someone talking to him and was why you originally got angsty), but rather, why did qwyn pick up on a confused and lost novice of another city before any of its own citizens even did?
Let's try not to curb game newbie assistance with concepts of "he is ours!", but rather try to see they get comfortably settled in. They can learn all about hating who and who and paranoia later

Some of us are in the middle of things, like honing mad art skills. Not everyone can be naturally talented.

That was a big ol NOPE

Seriously, though, had a hearty LOL at the Rip story.
Mhaldor does not permit uninvited visitors. Rip is one of Achaea's chief antagonists.
These are well-known facts.
None of the logged occurrences are surprising / worth getting worked up about.

It looks as though she reconnected just after the death and it forced her straight into embracing death, and it just didn't show the login message.

Though I guess this is the reverse, kinda.
