My first wins out of the arena in the six or so years that I've played! A huge thanks to all the people who helped me with the hours and hours of testing that it took to get that damn kill to work right. (Also, obligatory "I messed his brain up so bad he switched genders" joke)
I don't imagine he'll fall for that kill path again, but it was fun to win one for once. Next time maybe I'll have a better idea what I'm doing defensively, too!

Good fights. I expected you to be the typical Cyrenian noncom. Sure made a fool out of me. Come2Mhaldor
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power.
You have advanced to level 99. You have reached the illustrious level of Greater Dragon.
Finally made it!
Took exactly six months to the day. I'll take it considering the time constraints I had for the majority of that period. Next up is mastering Knight combat..

My slav-... Order converted Genji! Yaaaay, world domination!
@Gaia out of general curiosity, how did discussion on this work? Was it a vote given per divine based on the presentations or was it a discussion over which order would fit in best in the whole scheme of things? Or was it something else? Just for future reference.

Though I can't go into the full details, @Asmodron, I can say that the decision was based entirely on the presentations. A few categories were considered: how the presenters engaged the audience, how interesting the presentation was, and the content of the presentation in general were important factors.
A golden gryphon, your loyal companion, has died of starvation.
Victim of the mysterious housing stable disappearing bug.
This must've been recent too, like 24-48 hours recent because some of those mounts were fresh bought and didn't have anything in their feedbags. I thought the stablehands would feed'm!
Has been happening to me for about a week or so now.
ANNOUNCE NEWS #4570 (06/12/2016 at 21:37) From : Makarios, the Meticulous To : Everyone Subject: Death talisman pieces ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Just as a quick update to the current globe promotion, you can now trade in all death talisman pieces at a set price of ten bound credits. This should help alleviate the issue of having too many of the common pieces, while still making it preferable to trade the rarer pieces with your fellow players. Enjoy! Penned by My hand on the 1st of Ero, in the year 715 AF.

A black crow flaps in with a raucous shriek, wild fury in its piercing eyes. It disdainfully drops a letter into your hands before wheeling to soar away.
You read what is written on an elegant white letter:
Wish granted.
Fondly, D.
This letter is made of the finest quality paper, and is rolled into a cylinder, with a red ribbon to keep it from unfurling. It has 10 months of usefulness left. It weighs 1 ounce(s). An elegant white letter is holding: Nothing. It can contain of a total of 6 items.
A little ominous. I haven't wished for anything recently, and I don't I've ever interacted with anyone from Ashtan other than the time @Jinsun failed to steal from me in Hashan.
Left my house, rejoined Hashan, went on a hunting trip with a bunch of cool people. It's kind of a weird day, since I was with the CIJ for forever, but still pretty exciting. Looking forward to meeting new citymates!
Getting really sick of this new habit of raiders to just summon and slaughter anyone who hasn't defended yet. Makes playing on a mobile device impossible, can't even sit in the city anymore.

It sucks. We had a few novice non-soldiers get summoned and killed by your MoW the other night, I'm sorry your own people have to feel the same.

If anyone had reported that to Valkyn, whoever did it would have been warned and told not to do it again. No one did, so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to have done about that.

To be fair, it happens a lot. And I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing when it happens by accident. Encourages interaction between the n00b who was killed and their citimates and gives them a (very short) introduction to achaean combat.

You ain't a newbie, though, you're a city leader that walked into the situation after you (presumably) saw the empowered totem smudge. You even walked in after other people got attacked!
Still sucks if you were just walking by on mobile, though.
Not exactly today, but became the Champion of Baelgrim. The award ceremony was very cool, as were the rewards for first and second place. Shows how much players can do even without a Divine organising everything! The tournament itself was good fun, and especially the final round was exciting between myself and @Kythra. Really, props to Mhaldor for organising things like this, really makes the city feel alive!
my reward: a champion's medallion
Hewn black rhyolite forms the backing disc of this medallion, the jet-hued ore strikingly offset by an inlay of polished steel. Blending intricacy alongside rough hammerwork, a structure in miniature has been teased from the stone beneath, forcing a silhouette through the gleaming metal. Hairline etching adds subtle depth and accuracy to the stone-wrought representation of the Baelgrim Fortress, from the five black spires stark against the pale, colourless ore to the jagged shards of embedded obsidian sketching the ominous portcullis. Precious elements outline a female warrior standing sentinel before the legendary stronghold, delicate rose gold imbuing the champion with the flush of life. Glinting tendrils of amber and topaz give the elegant figure her identity, the femme flanked by daemonic companions: a towering monstrosity hewn from onyx on the right, and a snarling maw comprised of diamonds on her left.

Wasn't walking at all, just standing in the city minding my own business (arguing with my 5yo but hey). Didn't realise where I was, I think in hindsight I must have been at the edge of the city, it's really hard to follow on mobile, and I'd gotten distracted. Hadn't moved in ages. The totem must not have been empowered, just out of nowhere yanked and then repeatedly yanked back in and dead. Curing seemed to be not fixing paralysis so I couldn't stand, couldn't get it to work, couldn't type fast enough to manually cure, every time I tumbled out I got boomeranged back, making no attempt to fight.
Dying doesn't bother me, I'm just damned glad for once I wasn't carrying around something valuable I would have dropped. I don't like the whole thing though, it's crap.
