    Woke up today to a text from my mom saying that my dad was in the hospital and going in for surgery. Not the kind of text you want to wake up to! Thankfully, it's not life-threatening. It has the potential to be, but it isn't. Turns out, he has a kidney stone over an inch long and at least half that in width. So, after much running around today, I'm finally sitting down and taking a breath.

    Sorry to anyone who might be wondering why I haven't shown up. Last couple days were crazy enough as it was, and this was the icing on the cake.

    You could try an ethereal overlay sort of 'wings' that is more an enhancement of Valkyn's wings instead of a second pair of wings, maybe.

    I customized the wings to actually BE my Atavian wings, and then they just sort of changed as time went by and the character advanced.  The only awkwardness is the wear/remove bit, but you can use wear/remove reaction customizations to fix any weirdness there.

    Can you customise them so they can't be removed? Or at least not easily?

    Back when Mel was an atavian, I did this customisation for her first set of wings (like... eight years ago, don't mind the old writing style):

    Apprarance: a lustrous pair of miniature mithril wings 
    Dropped: Beautiful set of wings, formed of mithril, have been forgotten here.
    Examined: Beautifully tooled mithril of a shining brilliance has been meticulously hammered to form this pair of minute wings. Each minuscule feather has been engraved with great care into the surface of the incandescent metal, making the wings practically lifelike, even in miniature form. Easily pinned upon one's clothing or in a lady's hair, it adds a simple, yet graceful touch to any outfit, casual or formal.

    While obviously designed with the feminine touch in mind, it's easy to turn them into some sort of pin if you word it correctly. Could even be a representation of some sort of army-esque effort or whatever you like.
