It's a far cry from you scary sorts, buuuuuut..

You twist in a tight circle, slashing a mist wraith with each spin.
You have slain a mist wraith, retrieving the corpse.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have advanced to level 80.
You have reached the illustrious level of Logosian.
You have received 20 Bound Credits!

    You did it! Nicely done!

For some reason I found that it gets a lot faster/more bearable to level after 80. Maybe due to the crits? Welcome to Logosian though! Congrats!

Agreed. Was really slow going for me particularly 85-92.

to push through I basically stopped raiding so I wouldn't lose a ton from dying.

Maybe it was because I upgraded my mace to an artefact because leveling to 81 was certainly faster than any level from 76-79. It is still slow going, but not like the eye bleed I experienced in the mid to high 70s. :D

Keeper Xaden Ashture, Argent Hand (male Troll).
He is 263 years old, having been born on the 7th of Ero, 448 years after the fall of the Seleucarian
    Empire.
He is ranked 24th in Achaea.
He is an extremely credible character.
He is not known for acts of infamy.
He is a member of the Ivory Mark.

    From HELP PK:

    5. A standing bounty is offered on the heads of all members of the Ivory or
Quisalis Mark. Any player can redeem this bounty; consequently, membership in
the Quisalis/Ivory Mark is sufficient reason to be attacked by any player at
    any time.

You're a mark. Not sure what the qualifiers of non-infamous and non-mark are supposed to mean.

  • Can you hand heads of the Mark in for a bounty then, or is that just the phraseology in the help file?

Perhaps he was just commenting on the fact it was pretty sucky and one-sided. Just like those raids you guys say you don't like.  =)

Also, can you hunt back people who just attack you because you are a mark without them being infamous or marks too? I don't think so, so maybe thats part of what he meant, too.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.

Marks should be able to get their revenge. I think restrictions on marks are only about issuing for pk.

I haven't seen anyone mention it anywhere but I'm pretty stoked about the diminishing gold returns thing implemented. Not because of IG affects but because the time and effort that must have been put into analysing the data, coming up with this rather novel and interesting idea, and the great feats of maths and code done in the background. Have some recognition guys. Well done.
I'm intrigued as to how it works, if it's an hourly thing or daily thing. Like does it go : Oh Xaden has done 60k so far this hour, better slow his roll or does it go : Oh Fuck Penny has done 3million so far today, better nerf his bashing from here on.

I tried asking the Garden questions about it via issuing myself, but they don't wanna give any hints or ideas. Probably so no one tries to find a way to optimize it very easily.

It'll be figured out soon enough. I don't boost very often and am operating with only a lvl1 crit pendant, so I don't think I'll be seeing much of an issue. Unless it operates over a longer period than an RL day. My gold earnings are a result of the amount I bash (about 6-7 hours a day) and not the fact that I'm raking in tonnes per hour.

Now.. if it kicks in after xx hours in a week, then I'll start getting annoyed.

The post suggested that the problem was rate of generation, rather then amount generated (specifically citing your average dragon as an acceptable amount of earning over time), so I would imagine that you'll be perfectly fine.

I think it'll hurt the people more who can do extremely fast bashing in areas with high gold generation.. basically those who just non-stop hunt for literally hours on end or those using minerals, relics, etc and doing similar type hunting to amass gold extremely fast.

Unless you're generating well in excess (and I mean well in excess) of 100k/hour, you're highly unlikely to notice it. At least from testing thus far.
